Can you give me any advice about visiting Disneyworld?

Around Easter time it would be nice comfortable (not too hot) weather in the 70s F. I have never been there actually on the Easter holiday, but I dont think it would be AS crowded as everyone is telling you. Easter is not one of the bigger holidays for Disney World, but still, you can expect to find more people no matter what holiday. It is best to go in the spring or early fall-you do not want to be there in the summertime (unless you like waiting in long lines when the temp is about 100 degrees). But you can buy something called a fast pass which lets you automatically go to the front of the line on any ride.
We have been there three times, and, in my opinion, to get the "total experience" it is a good idea to stay in the park, you will get a lot more out of it. The first two times we stayed at the Grand Floridian Hotel. Its pricey and I imagine the prices have gone up since then, but it is an amazing hotel and definitely worth it. When we were there, Michael Jordan and Tom Cruise were also staying there. At the pool, we met the princess of Saudi Arabia who was throwing out toys to little kids in the pool.
Also, if you have little kids, a character breakfast is something fun that you can do. You sit as a family, have breakfast, the characters are all dressed up and walk around, sign autographs, get pictures, the kids usually really like it, and its also really good for younger kids too. You can find one of these at whichever hotel you decide to stay at.
The third time we met we stayed at the Polynesian. It has a totally different vibe with the lobby decorated to be a jungle and tiki torches and everything. They are both great hotels. And each hotel has a "grill" where you can just take the kids and eat. The food is good, and theres also an arcade to entertain them.
For the parks, I would definitely suggest visiting Magic Kingdom, MGM Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Take a whole day to do each one. Epcot is really good too-but it takes about 2 days to see everything. It has all different countries in it so you can take a stop and get a taste of every one. For the waterparks, Blizzard Beach is good.
There is so much to do, its impossible to do everything. So look into some stuff on websites so you get a better feel about everything. Alright well I think I'm done babbling on and have fun.

Easter weather is beautiful....not to hot. I really cant give advise on hotels. Sorry. I do know however that there are thousands of mickey mouse shapes hidden everywhere at the parks. The Small word ride is great......the first time.....after that....it's a migrane waiting to happen.

Easter should be nice - avoid spring break, but I can't remember when that falls (been out of school too long I guess!) Avoid late summer (July/August), as it gets really hot and humid down there. Avoid all holidays! Christmas/New Years week in particular. I have heard that early September is the best since the kids here have all gone back to school and parents don't want to have their kids out of school the first few weeks of school.
To get the full "Disney experience," I would recommend staying in the park. Costs a little more, but the perks are well worth it from what I understand (early park hours, etc).
If you are only going to be here a week, then Disney should be the only place you plan on going! Depending on the ages of your kids, it takes at least one day to do Magic Kingdom, two to do Epcot, one to do MGM Studios and one to do Animal Kingdom, not to mention the water parks. If you go anywhere else, I would suggest Universal Studios (2 days minimum) or Sea World (1 day), favoring Sea World! You can get a Disney Planning Kit for free from the Disney website below. Sure! The best time to visit Disney World is actually in the fall (Septebmer through mid November). The crowds are practically non-existent and the temperature slowly starts to drop a bit. It's still warm enough to swim and enjoy everything but not miserable like spring and summer tend to be.
You have so many options for resorts. You can stay at any of Disney's resort hotels (highly recommended), or even off Disney property. There are thousands of moderately priced hotels minutes away from the Resort. Any holiday is crowded at Disney. They are fun to enjoy while at Disney, but if you'd rather avoid crowds, steer clear of any holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, 4th of July, etc...).
October is truly the best month to visit!

80's not too bad. the crowds might be high. we always go end of september or October. sometimes it can be hot but the crowd level is low. any of their hotels are nice. they are all different price ranges. best thing about astaying at thier hotels is that on certain days you can get in the parks an hour earlier than the general public and stay an hour later.

I am not sure what ages you are taking for children. But this is what we found summer before last.

1. You will need a stroller for any child under the age of five and five is iffy. Either bring one or be prepared to rent one.
2. Easter is spring break time in the US. This is one of the peak seasons for Disney. Prepare for the crowd.
3. The weather that time of year is usually mid 70s but there will be some showers and cooler nights. Pack light to mid weight clothing.
4. If you stay at one of the Disney resorts you will get extra time at the park before it opens to the public. This is a great way to get in rides before it is crowded.
5. Fast pass is your friend use it and use it often.
6. Have a list of "must see" attractions. Once you have those done everything else is just icing on the cake.
7. If you want character meals reserve early as they can fill up quickly.

9. Remember it is supposed to be fun and you don't have to see everything. We were there five days and there was a lot we didn't do. You just pick what is important and focus on that.

Around Easter wouldn't be bad but I wouldn't go on Easter weekend because the kids are out of school so it will be more packed than normal. The longer you wait after Easter the hotter it will be. Trust me it is no fun walking around that park at 90 or 100 degrees. Another tip would be to try to eat before you get there. Eating inside the park can get expensive. They do have places inside the gates to stay. You could check on the prices of them. I think some are reasonable. This would cut down on the cost because you wouldn't have to pay parking. You can take the tram to the park.

I love WDW, it is truly a magickal place (and expensive), I have been there many times (just not recently). The BEST tip I can give you is to get there early and before the castle, turn left and visit the park counter clock wise. It is a fact that most everyone will be travelling the park on a clock wise pattern. By doing the opposite you will notice shorter lines and less congestion for a couple of hours, you'll see more and you won't tire out so easy.
A good diner show is the Arabian Nights.

The Days Inn Suites by Old Towne are nice and affordable.
Spring, Fall and Winter are the best times of the year to visit
Central Florida.

Take lots of water.

Arrive early.

Staying in Kissimmee can save lots of money compared to staying on the property. All the Kissimmee hotels have busses to take you to Disney.

Learn how the pass system works. Send different people from your party to get passes first thing in the morning. Then get to gether and use the passes. On a busy day they will run out of passes early.

Go to one park and do everything you want to do there before going to another park.

Save a day to go to Universal Studios. Lots of very good rides there.

We went at the end of January a few years ago and it was t-shirt weather. We stayed in Kissimee quite close to Disney. Motels are pretty cheap and comfortable. There's a bar on the main highway in Kissimee called the Rover's Return...has loads of photos of the cast of Coronation St. and a big Mural on the wall of the viaduct!...Make the most of the buffet breakfasts, they're dead cheap and you can eat all you want, it fills the kids up and stops them moaning all day! We actually enjoyed Universal Studios much more than Disneyworld even though Disney was great.....I'm sure you'll love it and have a great time. You'll definitely want to go back! We're going next year in February.

The BEST time to visit Disney is:

1 - First 2 weeks in January - Cool weather, no crowds.

2 - Early March - nice weather, no crowds

3 - May - Rains in the afternoon but the parks are pretty empty

4 - Late September and first 3 weeks in October - No Crowds

5 - First 2 weeks of December - No Rain, No Crowds, Cool weather

Stay in International Drive. Best prices, close to everything, Trolley only cost $1 and kids ride free. Most hotels on I-Drive provide continental breakfast and FREE transportation to the parks.

I don't know who would tell you not to go! Its the best place in the world! Well, Florida is always going to be warm, but I went this year near Easter and I never got hot. It was actually cold enough somedays to wear a light jacket. Especially at night. But, then somedays it might have been 85 or something outside.
Easter time weather isn't that bad.
For accomodation I highly reccomend staying on Disney property because there are a lot of perks that go along with it. Like Disney Transportation coming to your resort so you won't have to drive and Extra Magic Hours where somedays you can go to a park an hour before they open to the public or stay up to 3 hours after they close.
Also, all Disney resorts are really really nice.
Definitely avoid christmas/new years time at Disney World. I don't really have any other advice on where to visit, just concentrate on getting all of Disney World done, which at least takes a full week. Disney World is definitely big and there are so many fun things to do!

Easter is a VERY busy time to go. I would avoid the spring altogether. Anytime in January or February is good. The crowds are lower and the temps are not hot. Also, September through the first two weeks of November, when the kids are in school are good times. Avoid Thanksgiving week and Christmas week.

Definitely stay on Disney property. You will not even need a car. Each resort has a different theme. Check out the websites below.

When you get there, just be aware that you will probably not be able to see or do it all. I have been there several times and still have not. Just relax and have fun.

Early spring (April is ok, but many schools have vacations then)

Fall is not to bad, we usually go in September, the children are back in school, so it is a bit less crowded.

Most people get a 4-day weekend for Thanksgiving, and then the week before and after Christmas is usually a vacation time here.

In the US, there are school vacations (kids get a week off from school) in Feb and usually again in April. Many college age kids go on Spring break anytime from March to May. Then, there is a week or two off at Christmas in December.

Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday in November, most people get the Friday after off work as well, making that a long weekend. Parks are busy at that time as well.

I have heard that early December is a pretty good time. It is in between the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

I am going this year on Sept 17th for 6 days, and plan on returning Dec 4th. for 6-10 days.

I like to stay at Disney World and then I don't bother to rent a car, I just use their transportation and only visit Disney parks (& Downtown Disney). In December, though, we will be getting a condo off Disney property and will be visiting Universal Studios as well.

It is warm at this time I would suggest going the first week in Feb. the temp are comfortable and not to busy. If you go in Feb avoid Presidents Day weekend which is usally like the third week you would have to check on a calander to see when next year. Another good time is the first two weeks of March. After that schools are getting out for spring break. Spring break in US range any where from second week in March to last week in April. I would recommend staying at the All Star movie Resort on property this is a value resort and I think it is well worth what you pay for it. If money is not an object I would sugest the Animal Kingdom Lodge. I would purchace my tickets directly from the Walt Disney web site. Once there you can acommodations, tickets and dining. I would also say getting the park hopper auction is well worth the extra 5.00 or so dollars per day so you can go to multiple parks in one day. Adding the magic your way dining is a great thing also it helps on the cost of food and well worth it. Things to do beside going to disney is Kennedy Space Center you can see rockets and shuttles and if you are lucky you might could see a launch. You can arrange dinner with a astraunut. I hope you have a magical trip.

Disneyworld would be beautiful in the spring. It is always crowded, but they know how to manage lots of people. The hot time would be mid summer, it really gets hot and most of all humid. The food at DW did not agree with me except at the really nice restaurants, and the price difference really aggravated me. The prices for junk and the prices for good food were the same!! I would recommend eating at Bob Evans outside of the World for a good breakfast and then go to the park. I stayed at the moderate Pop Century resort, and it was very nice. I did not have a car at all and that was no problem except for the food.

listen it is hot there and ill tell you what its not worth it to go there , you spend an extreme amount of money to walk around all day and get lucky to get on some rides which there aren't that many . also its like stepping back into the 50's like as if nothing was ever done to it after walt died. all i can say is i always had a dream to take my kids there and my dream came true only for me to be extremely disappointed. id say go to much better places like universal studio's or sea world , much better fun

I went in August. Big Mistake!! Not only is it hot but there were a million people there and the weather is more volatile and changes on a dime. I only rode one ride before a big lightening storm came in!! Easter would be a good choice weather and people wise but Nov.-Feb would probably be better. If you can swing it stay at a resort in the park. You get in to the parks earlier than everyone else and can stay later. There is a lot to do in Orlando but really you could stay in Disneyworld for a week and probably not see everything. If you venture out check out Universal Studio's ecspecially if you have kids older than 10. I've heard good things about their hotel too (have Spongebob rooms, etc.).

The weather is pretty unpredictable in Orlando but usually it is about 75 during Easter. It tend to be crowded during this time because of Easter break from schools around the nation. You have to get into the mindset to be patient and just have a good time. Disney World has lot of parks and options. Universal Studios, downtown Disney any Kennedy Space Center(about 1 hour and 20 minutes away from Orlando) is great fun. There are many dinner shows on highway 192 and Interstate 4. There is also some fun things on International Drive including some good restaurants such as Salt Island and Texas de Brazil. If you want an affordable and good breakfast go to Cracker Barrel. Easter time is a busy time for the parks because many US kids have a vacation, (Holiday) The average temperture is in the 80's farehnheite. You may want to explore hotels not on Disney property for the best deal - Kissimmee is a good area to stay in I recently stayed in a hotel there for 19.00 US dollars a night it was clean and nice drive to the parks -plus it enabled me to see other things I would not have seen or done had I stayed on Disney property and only used the shuttles. Many hotels provide shuttle service to the parks. easter time is nice itsnice weather. When you go to disney go to Magic Kingdom. Epcot is Kinda boring and MGM is fun with alot of thrill rides Animal Kingdom is really nice for kids too But magic Kingdom is the best for all ages. When you go to Magic Kingdom start out with Tomorrowland by noon it will have the longest lines adventure lands lines are never too long except for the little rides.

Fast passes are an amazing concept but you can only have one at a time i would get fast passes for the big rides like space mtn and thundermtn and splash mtn.
Take it slow the park isnt goin anywhere and you can get through the whole park if you take your time

i would suggest you go visit blizzard beach, it's a water park, it goes along with Disney. also make sure you go to universal studios islands of adventure. they have some great rides there especially the roller coasters. have fun!
