You have to be at least 21 to check in to the W and you have to have a credit card in order to make a reservation along with the fact you have to show a credit card at check in.
They don't accept cash deposits on rooms. |

Have him buy a rechargeable Visa or MasterCard at Walmart and pay for it with that. |

no hotels take cash, because of incidentals |

hotels dont take cash cause then you could then steal all their stuff and they would only have the money to pay for the rent not the missing items on a c.card they can charge missing items to you when you leave |

you can, but you would still need to leave a card just incase you make any charges to the room like room service or stuff like that, and you try to leave with out paying. |

You probably can but you'd have to pay a hefty deposit for incidentals (Damage, theft, phone calls, etc.) extra things that aren't associated with just the renting of the room. What they do when they take your card is if after you have checked out they discover a theft or damage, they can charge your card for the damages with out your permission... or at least that's how we did it when I worked a Comfort Inn and a 3 star Holiday Inn. Just pay the deposit, It'll be alot of extra trouble, but there won't be any unexpected charges to your card. |

You just let millions of people know where you are going to be. I wouldn't go there now... even if they do take cash. |

For a meal, sure. For a room, I doubt it.
Anyway, call them ahead and simply ask. |

mmm...call them and ask.
some hotels only take credit cause they can keep charging you or if you damage stuff they have your card info, plus they want to rent to people over 18.
some hotels not sure about the W but you have to reserve in advance and they usually ask for a credit card to reserve in. a lot of hotels are like that in dallas.
but that hotel is awesome! :) |

go on line and find the closest "Green Dot" they give you master card or visa card=== you pay $19.95 and put what ever amount you want on it== then call the hotel for reservations giving them that number== as they are good immediately== but in answer to your question, class act hotels usually require a card or very large deposit in case of damage== green dot is good anywhere==unless you have a debit card, that will work==good luck and happy prom-ing. |
