Detroit, Is it good or bad?

It's the Gothlem of America, but it has a bunch of awesome things to do, see, eat and experience, such as concerts, plays, DIA, CCS, other museums, the science center. I guess all cities, good or bad, have their up's and downs. All D-town needs is it's Batman are you the man for that job?

Getting better daily! Downtown is now ranked safer then other cities of the same size. I love Detroit, people just need to start looking past the hard shell.

It has it's ups/down falls but it all depends on the people attitude and there is alot to do there.

Downtown detroit is beautiful! The suburbs around it are not so good, there are places with gangs and what not, just like every other big city. I am so sick of people talking so bad about detroit, everyone who is sayin this stuff has never even been here. There are some very wealthy people who live in the city, they sell lofts down town for well over a millon, like new york city, there are some places you just dont want to venture into.

i think its a little bit of both. yes, we all know that detroit has bad areas. but if you look past those bad areas, then you can see a rising city. there are some people that are pretty trashy and stupid but every city has that... i'd say its good and different.

I used to live in Michigan, I lived in Dearborn Heights. I was less than about 20 minutes away. I had friends that lived there that I would visit. Detroit isn't bad like everyone makes it out to be. Depends on what part, and who you tick off. Its just like any other state, city, country, etc.. Its no different. Everyone just try to make it seem worse because of how it looks. Go there, see for yourself. Don't judge just by looks. Its basically stereotyping a city just by what others say or by what it looks like. Go see for yourself. You can make friends there just as quick as you can enemies. Its like every other place in the world. Its no different.

It is fine like I have said before I will say it again!! It is like any other big city as in crime!! It just tends to get more negative media attention then other places example New Orleans gets a horrible media attention been there loved it people need to stop reading so much into the news and what not!!

no one knows anything unless they LIVE in detroit. So all yall peeps can talk bout' the D all they want and we gone have to hop up on and beat dat ace. detroit is good (home of the mowtown). but then again its bad (lots a gangs)

Its just like i tell other people, Detroit is no worse than any other major city, it has its good points and its bad points, Detroit is actually a fun city if you give it a chance, and if you venture into the wrong area, just like any other city or that matter town, you can get caught up in a bad moment, so do yourself a favor and do not listen to the morons who say its nothing but bad or don't go there, especially if its some snotty idiot from that illegal immigrant infested place Florida.

I dont know but I looked at satellite pictures of Detroit and theres entire blocks with just 1 or 2 buildings on it. That can't be a good sign.

In comparison to Miami, Tampa/St. Pete, Sarasota, Ft. Myers, St. Augustine, Pensacola,Orlando or Key West I wouldn't waste my money or time in Detroit.

ive been to detroit many times, its a nice city but u just have to whatch where u go just like any other city but its not really an attraction city so dont plan on going there 4 vacation or somthin cus there aint much 2 do that you coulden't already do whereever you live
