How do I get from JFK to West New York 60th Street at around 11pm? |
Would anyone be able to advise:
1) How much a tax would cost?
2) What other means of trasnport would get me there, and how much it may cost?
Thanks!... |

Disney- My son (4) is not good with crowds or heat. I can go either 5/28-6/3 OR 8/5-8/11. Which is better? |

I am sorry to say that the crowds and heat will be about the same. My children have adhd so I know what you mean. Disney are really good at helping just go to customer services and tell them and I am sure they will be able to make your visit a little better.
Also for some reason Disney crowds do not feel over bearing. I think its because of all the bright colours and distraction.
have a great holiday but I am sure you will. |

Just asking, but if your son is not good with crowds or heat, why take him to the most crowded place in the hottest state in the USA?
He's four years old. He's not going to remember this trip anyway. Take him someplace where he can relax and have fun (and you can, too!). |

I'm sorry if this sounds rude, but who is this trip for? If he hates crowds and heat he is going to be miserable either time. The May trip might be a few degrees cooler, but when you are spending the day standing on black asphalt most of the time the difference will be negligible. If his heart is set on Disney World, bring him in January (after New Year's Day). The crowds are much smaller and the weather is nice. If you are taking this trip more for you than him, perhaps you need to reevaluate where you are going on vacation so he has a great time, too. |

Late May to early June will be better than August, and probably less crowded.
However, the other answer is correct and you need to re-evaluate if you should take a 4 y/o to DW when they don't like crowds or heat. At least decide to go sometime next year (which is still before he has to go to 1st grade/real school) between November 1st and mid-April. |

why not try taking him somewhere less crowded and not as warm first and see how he copes. you would be better waiting until he is older, as he is too young to appreciate something like that especially with the heat and crowds.
someone said may to june is less crowded this is the time of year i go and it is extremely warm and very very crowded |

Crowds about the same, Disney is really good for this, they take care of you, get a hotel on site for sure, a good site to get a good price is http://www.vacationsnbeyond.com, request a free quote. |

If you could go late August or early September you could get free dining and the crowds will be down as schools will be starting back up. Either week will be hot and crowded, however August will have a higher humidity and better chance of rain in the afternoons.
If your son likes Elmo think about the park if Pennsylvania that focuses on Sesame Street Characters. I think it's called Sesame Street Place, not for sure.
We took my 5 year old last year the first week of May and the weather was perfect and the crowd was low in attendance.
The two weeks you chose or not your best bet for heat and crowds but good luck. |

I'd suggest 5/28-6/3 because it'll be a little cooler than in August, but not by much. And it'll still be crowded. The other people were right though, if he doesn't like crowds and heat, Disney World is the worst place for him right now. Wait for another year or two until he remembers it better. I went when I was 4 1/2 and I remember a lot of it, but a lot of it scared me too. Try taking him to a more peaceful place. |

The temps may be the same, but the humidity will not! I've lived in the South all my life and I know about humidity. May will be much better!
If you can, I'd say going during the cooler months would be so much better. I went last December and every day was mild except for one and I was there for a week. Mild meaning I was wearing t-shirts, jeans, and a light jacket. That one cold day, however, I was wearing a tank top, a sweater, a hoodie, a scarf, a santa hat, had the hood on the hoodie up, and was still cold.
I also went in March one year, and the first day was chilly and light rain all day and the next few days were beautiful and warm, but not overly so. And the parks were much less crowded. |

The earlier the better !!!! It gets REALLY hot and humid here in july/august. may and June are better is not as hot and the crowds are not as much compared to the summer. |

Both dates are going to be crowded. In August you will have more heat and humidity. I agree with some of the other people, you may want to re-evaluate the trip idea and be sure your son can handle it. Both of my older boys went for the first time when they were three and they do remember the trips. If you do decide to go, I highly recommend using an itinerary and touring plans service. We have used Custom Mouse Plans and they are great! They plan your trip so that you are in the least crowded parks each day and they do the touring plans to keep you out of long lines. I have used them several times and we have never waited more than 10 minutes for any ride, even on New Year's Day. Since your son is sensitive to crowds, their plans could really help you!
We will also be there at the end of May into early June, and they have already finished my plans!
Good Luck! |

The heat in August is brutal, so May is highly recommended. Plus there is slightly less chance of the afternoon thunderstorms that get in the way of a day at the park. As for whether your four-year old will remember, I totally disagree with one of the previous answers. My children are teenagers now and still remember their first visits when they were 4 and 5. Just be patient and take your time. Kids that age are more interested in the experience of the park than we give them credit for. They want to interact with the characters, they are fascinated by the character-shaped landscaping, they love the parades. They love the colors, music, and smells. Stop and smell the roses and you will have a great time. Try to rush from ride to ride and you will have one cranky kid on your hands. |

The crowds and the heat will be about the same. There will be more chance of a hurricane being a possible factor in August. |
