We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside last September and were surprised at how much more relaxing it was than the "All Star" resorts. It doesn't feel as much like a resort, mainly because of the landscaping around the separate units. We also liked that it has 5 pools. One main one with a slide and waterfalls, but also numerous other smaller ones scattered throughout.
There is a nice path you can run or walk on along the river. Also you can take a free boat to Downtown Disney, which we enjoyed very much.
We spent one whole day just enjoying the resort rather than going to the parks because it was so nice. |

I have heard good things about the Port Orleans resort. I can't really speak from experience, but guidebooks I have looked at have mentioned that this was a good one. I think pretty much all of the Disney resorts are pretty good in general. I would suggest "The Unofficial Guide to Disney World With Kids" -- it has helped us tremendously in our planning and should help you to make a good choice for your stay. |

Pop Century should work for you and will save you money too. |

We stayed at P.O. for our honeymoon...talk about quiet...but a long walk from anywhere to the room...
Disney rooms are basically quiet no matter where you go. I would go to the place that will offer the best value for what you are wanting to do. With the 5 year old, the swimming might be a good draw during the afternoon siesta time...so try Caribbean Beach (of course, you can also pool hop to other resorts, soem restrictions applying...)
You can't go wrong if you stay on campus and take the afternoon siesta...and bring your own stroller...No kidding!

I'd suggest Port Orleans French Quarter. It's smaller than Port Orleans Riverside, and it's very peaceful. All Star Movies and Pop Century are quite large (as is Coronado Springs) and therefore are louder at night (more people returning to their rooms). |

Port Orleans is a nice and quiet hotel. It is great if you are staying there with younger kids and has a pool with a small slide. It is usually not that crowded either. |

Port Orleans Riverside! It is most definitely one of the most peaceful and quiet resorts on property. In fact that's why we usually stay there. It nice to come back from a noisy park to a nice quiet room. All star movie and pop century are geared more towards kids so the noise level there is by far the highest.
Good luck and have a great time! |

As one single mom to another you can not beat the price of Pop Century. The rooms are small, but we were never bothered by noise at night. We did hear people in the morning, but we rose early so it did not bother us. |

The value resorts can be a bit loud and crowded. I plan on going to WDW this September and will be staying at the Coronado Springs for the 1st time and its a moderate resort. I think it will be a bit quieter compared to value resorts. Good luck with your final choice!! |

My favorite is Port Orleans Riverside. It is quiet and such a pretty property. Nice feature pool (Old Man Island) that is set apart from the rooms. You can chose a bayou room or a mansion room there. I like Riverside better than French Quarter personally but both are nice. My kids like the Old Man Island pool better than the dragon pool at French Quarter. |

I would recommend the Port Orleans resort. I would also say the French quarter because it is smaller and quieter. All star movies and Pop Century can be loud. I'm not sure about Coronado springs, except you will see alot of business people because it has a convention business center thing. I would recommend Port Orleans French quarter, it should be nice and quiet for you daughter. |

I would go for the Coronado. Riverside is older and IMO its crowded the rooms. Coronado is more open and not as very many buildings near each other. Coronado has relaxing lake you can walk around. |

Well port Orleans would pry be the best bet, and its the same price as the others. but its normally family's on budgets that stay there, via the other ones are normally younger groups of 20`s that stay there |
