Price-wise Universal is a better deal if you wanted to go to both parks. You can do a double ticket but it only lasts for one day and the parks can close early some days so get there EARLY.
On Disney's website is says you have to register your birthday on their website: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/en_US/WhatWillYouCelebrate/index?name=WDWCelebrationsOverviewPage&bhcp=1
It does make it sound like you could register your family, but I would call the park before you assume that will work. Also, the site says you need to bring your ID (license, permit, etc.) AND the registry form you'll print off the site.
Like I said, the best thing you can do is call the park and ask them just so you don't get there and find out it's going to be $60+ a person. |

The offer is only valid for whom ever's birthday it is and you must go on that exact day to get the ticket and the ticket must be used that day. You cannot get tickets prior or use tickets after one's birthday. Disney is more expensive than Universal. Sometimes, as in my case, its worth paying the extra money to get the Disney...hint why I no longer have Universal annuals. What would be the age range of family members? If traveling with young ones or people who are not into roller coasters, then I suggest Disney. If you're older and traveling with thrill seekers than do Universal. Universal's height requirement are more strict than Disney. My boys couldn't hardly ride anything but thchildren'sns rides at Universal where Disney the whole family could ride. Example-kids could barely pass the height to ride some silly swing flying ride at universal, but rode Tower of Terror at Disney with the height requirement of only 40inches at 4 yrs old. It really depends on what you like and your family's wants and needs are. |

Disney world is amazing. For both adults and children!
You dont get free tickets for everyone else, but the birthday person needs proof it's their birthday such as a passport, or birth certificate.
Firstly, you need to go to the Disney official site to sign up for it!
If you are going for only a short while, I would go to Disney.
For kids theres loads of rides at All the Disney parks, but for adults, I would suggest, Splash Mountain, Priates of the Carribean (recently updated!) Space Mountain, plus loads others.
In Hollywood Studios (MGM) there is the Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, and Tower of Terror! Along with many other things as well!
Epcot has Mission: Space, Test Track, Soarin', etc.
In animal kingdom, they have Dinosaur, and loads more rides as well!
Don't get me wrong, Universal is amazing too, but cheapness-wise, Disney is better as Universal recently got rid of their fastpass machines, and you have to pay to cut the line! (But once you have paid, this is for every ride)
At Disney, this is free (although you cant get more than one fastpass at a time)
Have a great time! I love Universal and Disney! Their rides are out of this world! As always, it's always a magical experience!
I would suggest buying a Florida attractions book at your local bookstore, it tells you about all the parks!
Good luck! |

Whomever's birthday it is gets in for FREE. Everyone else has to pay to get in that day.
I've never been to Universal. I've only been to WDW about 10 times since it opened. Any questions about WDW, I can most likely answer. I would recommend WDW, but again, I know nothing about the other 2. |

Only the persons who birthday it is get to go into the park for free. You have to buy tickets for the other 4 members. Disney has good deals so I would go with them personally. But really it all depends on which parks your family would rather go to. |

ok, universal is definetly better for those of teenage because its not kiddyish. and better rides and attractions but just say you have a mental health or hearing problem and you get to go to the beginning of every line. its the real JACKPOT |

You'll have to register on the website first. The person with the birthday gets free admission and the others will have to pay full price. Once in Orlando, there are a lot of discount ticket booths, that you may be able to get a slightly reduced price.
Universal and Disney are VERY different. Depending on how old your kids are will depend on what park you want to go to. If they are younger, take them to Disney. If they are in their teens, they'll like Universal better. The other plus to Universal is there is alcohol, whereas you wont find any on Disney properties unless it's during the Food & Wine festival. |

My advice; Universal! I went recently, and you should go on the Jurassic park one. it's not that scary, you do get very wet, and there is a VERY large drop at the end. some dino's will squirt you. |
