Disney World - Which 3 parks with a 3 year old? |
My husband, 3 yr old son and I are going to Disney World in 2 1/2 wks. We get to visit one park per day (for 3 days), which 3 parks would be the best to visit? I want my son to be able to enjoy the trip and take advantage of as much as possible while there. Any suggestions? |

The three parks I would visit are the Magic Kingdom (no brainer!), MGM, and Animal Kingdom. Epcot has tons for kids to do, but he may be a little young to enjoy it. Each of the other parks has so much for the kids he won't know which way to look! When he gets a little older stay a little longer and add Epcot in there. Another suggestion would be to hit the Magic Kingdom for 1 1/2 days, and split time between the AK and MGM. He will get the most out of the Magic Kingdom by far.
Hope this helps, have a great trip! |

Magic Kingdom and MGM definitely. we were less than impressed with Animal Kingdom, but it is probably a better choice than Epcot for a toddler.
Just remember that without the park hopper option on your tickets, you will only be able to visit one location per day. |

Hi. We went when my son was 4. I agree with the first poster, but if it's not possible to wait, definitely go to Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and the one with the studios. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it now.
Animal Kingdom is small, and you may be able to do it in half a day. That's what we did, and then went over to Magic Kingdom again. I would personally spend 1-1/2 days at Magic Kingdom, half a day at Animal Kingdom, and then the other day go to the Disney MGM studios.
Epcot is not that fun, esp. for a 3-year-old. The parade of nations is cool, but a child that little will not be interested in that.
Don't miss the parades every afternoon. The children love to see all the Disney characters, and you will get a kick out of seeing your child so happy.
Have fun! |

Magic Kingdom, MGM, and Animal Kingdom.
Don't forget to stay for the fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. They are really spectacular.
Have fun - and make sure you drink plenty of water...it's still hot down here! |

Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and if you have time epcot....if it was me I'd do magic kingdom twice (3/4 days) and the animal park the last day for as long as you last (you guys will be kapooped after 2 days in a row with a 3 yo....trust me been there done that...enjoy. BTW Lydia H., Animal Kingdom is not small at all, it is bigger than the other parks and if you hit all the lands it is a full day for sure. |

Definately Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. As for Epcot or MGM, that's your choice. Both have their share of thrill rides, although MGM probably has more shows and character meeting places and things like that. |

Hi, have fun on your trip, here are my suggestions:
Use 1 full day for Magic Kingdom. Fantasy Land has all the baby rides. Dont miss "winnie the pooh" "peter pans flight" "mickey's philharmagic 3d show" "snow white's ride" also over there is the dumbo ride. Over in Tomorrow land, he'd like Buzz Lightyear (you sit in a 2 person car "spaceship" and you can shoot at targets -or just be amazed at all the colors and things around you! There's a few boat rides he'd like: it's a small world, the Jungle cruise, pirates of the carribean, also there's a train that goes all around MK -fun to take-you can get off at the different areas, like "fantasy land, etc" There's also ToonTown there, it has Mickey/Minnie/and Donald Duck's houses to walk through. Dont miss the parade, check the flier when you enter the park for parade/firework times. As far as characters, you have to wait in line to see them. (they dont roam around the park, they're at their "meet and greet" spots.) If the lines are too long, consider a character meal. They Crystal Palace at the MK has all 3 meals. Check Disney's website for dining options, but make reservations ASAP!!! they book FAST!
For day 2, i recommend Animal Kingdom. They close early though, about 5pm (unless it's a extra magic hours night-check disneyworld.com). Get there early, there is tons to do. -even for a 3 yr old. There is a cute show inside the huge tree of life, it's a 3d show called "its a bug's life." It's really cute. You sit on a long bench and watch the show with your 3d glasses on. The safari ride is great -a bit bumpy though. There are a few jungle treks where you just walk around looking at tons of animals. There is a train that will take you to "conservation station" which has a petting zoo and some fun things inside also. There are meet and greet spots and a great show over at Camp Minnie Mickey..i cant think of it now, but there's acrobats, and giant floats, oh it's Festival of the Lion King. There's the new show Finding Nemo the musical too. After the park closes, i would plan a character dinner somewhere like at the Polynesian hotel. There is a great family style buffet (served at your table). That's my favorite place to eat!
Day 3- MGM has PlayHouse Disney shows, Honey I shrunk the Audience play area, meet and greets -Al's Toy Barn is great, the Great Movie Ride -sit in a boat -like Pirates of the Caribbean. Beauty and the Beast show, Little Mermaid Show, and that's about it. It'd be great to do a 1/2 day at MGM and 1/2 at Epcot. Both parks have a great fireworks show, but MGM's you need to get a seat 1 hr or more before it starts. At Epcot, every view is great. Epcot has the giant aquarium, Fining Nemo themed, Finding Nemo ride, there is Donald Duck's boat ride, in the Land. There's also Figments Imagination ride. -just a ride, not a rollercoaster. I have a video of it on youtube.com it's under DisneyWorld Epcot 2006. Other than that, there is a lot of rollercoaster type things for adults, like Mission Space, Test Track, and Soarin.
If he likes Playhouse disney -go to MGM, if he likes fish-go to Epcot.
Bring plenty of sunscreen and film.
Good luck! |

Animal Kindom, Magic Kingdom, and Epcot. Epcot and mgm are hard for little kids, but you can walk though the countries which I think is really interesting |

Pretty much all the parks are kid friendly but for more attractions I would go to Magic Kingdom for sure. Your son would really enjoy animal kingdom as well. Epcot is great too. They have the Nemo ride, Figment the dragon ride, the spaceship earth ride( the big golf ball), the mexico ride, the land ride( boat ride) and tons of shopping and dining. I have been to mgm several times and I didnt care for it because it is mostly shows and you have small children it can be hard for them to sit through. |

Magic Kingdom is a must.
MGM had the Playhouse Disney Characters
Animal Kingdom has animals.
These are the parks I recommend. I love Epcot, but it has more to offer the adults.
I would call to see if there are any character meals available you can check them out at www.waltdisneyworld.com
I recommend:
Magic Kingdom:
Crystal Palace with Pooh and Friends
Contemporary Hotel:
Chef Mickeys |

I would visit Disney-MGM (Bear in the Big Blue House; Stanley; Pooh); Magic Kingdom; and Animal Kingdom. Epcot may be a bit boring for a 3 year old. Enjoy! |

Magic Kingdom, MGM, Animal Kingdom
I've been to all the theme parks in orlando and my personal 3 favourites we're ; Sea World, Islands Of Adventure & Epcot |

When you check in, how much to upgrade it to more than one park per day
Magic Kingdom has the parade at night, and a good children section
I would go in the morning, go back to the hotel, and late after return
MGM has get shows for the toddler
For a three year old, I would go to these two park
I would go to Animal Kingdom over Epcot for a three year old |

Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. But you know, when he's older he probably won't remember any of this so my suggestion is to wait a few years. |
