My sister does not like roller coaster but when I rode her on she loved it. If you have ridden (is that a word? sounds weird) Big Thunder Mountain at the Magic Kingdom before it is somewhat similar but a much smoother and more themed ride.
There is a med size drop and goes backwards for a few secs the rest is just twisting and turning tracks.
Stop thinking about how scary it is and think about how fun it will be.
You tube has a video of the whole ride check it out. |

Guys quit scaring her! What you do is when you're in line take deep breaths if it helps cling to your mom or dad, I'm just kidding you don't have to, but having ridden that particular ride 12 times you have nothing to really worry about! There is a particular part where the train lurches backwards, but it is perfectly safe, all rides at Disney are inspected regularly for safety you'll be fine. By the way Have fun! OK? |

Expedition Everest runs in and out of the mountain, so there will periods of darkness. The ride also briefly runs backwards. Near the end, you'll encounter a giant animatronic yeti.
To me, the ride was more intense than scary. I wasn't scared because I knew what to expect. Have fun! :) |

i'm have roller coaster issues too. as far as Disney coasters go, i rank it between Thunder Mt. and Areosmith's Rockin' Roller Coaster but much more on the Thunder Mt. side than Areosmith side. it's no where near a Universal Studios Hulk or Dueling Dragons or Dollywood's Thunderhead (the biggest mistake i ever made). it's a fun ride with some screams but they are quick and before you know it you're done and glad you did it. one tip, ask for front seat - you get an amazing view Disney World at one point when it stops that nobody else gets, only front seat - trust me on this. Have Fun!!! |

dont worry about it!i was exactly like you, getting freaked out, but i got on it..and i was a bit nervous at first yeah...but its actually a not-so scary ride...not like Rock n' rollercoaster or anything..its kinda slow up to the point of when it goes backwards...it doesnt hae any loops or anything, and its really fun thrill! |

i was scared to b/c it has a 80+ foot drop but it was not scary at all. It is not a steep drop, so you dont feel it too much, just remember to lean in otherwise it puts a lot of pressure on your head when you're going back up from the big drop. The ride is not very long, so just go on it and if you dont like it dont go on it again, but odds are you'll like it. You also get amazing views when the you're going up towards the top of the mountain, i'm scared of heights but was not scared, it was fun to look around. It also only goes backwards for a little bit. Keep your eyes open to see the Yeti! |

NOT scary! Disney is a THEME park, NOT a THRILL park...there is NOTHING at Disney whatsoever that is scary in the least bit!!! The smallest child could ride everything available at Disney and never cry. |

I was the same when I went to Walt Disney World, and personally, I loved it! It's very smooth, and not bumpy or jerky. Plus, most of it is in the dark anyway, so you won't see most of the track. It's really fun, and I highly recommend getting a Fast Pass for that one, as it is a very popular ride. If you're still scared, search for some POV videos on YouTube, they'll show you what's coming up. So all I can say is, try it out, and have fun!! |

This is a video. The worst part would probably be a medium drop and 10 seconds of going backwards, trust me, it's really fun and it isn't as bad Rock'n Roll'n Rollar coaster. |
