If you are a citizen then all you will need is a diver's license or state id. if you are a foreigner then you will need a passport. In other words did you come here on a visa of some sort than you would need your passport to go to Hawaii. Hawaii is the 50th state. If you made travel plans with an agency they should have told you what you are to bring to the airport with you. |

Yes you need one and you need to barter with the customs agent so bring some diamonds and coconuts. Don't forget your ukulele and your grass skirts here. Remember you need to surf and canoe everywhere, so start hitting the gym early. No indoor plumbing yet, but we're hoping we can get some soon because we all live in grass huts. And yes, we can all surf on lava. That dude that said to bring peso's he's wrong we only trade coconuts. And the only reason I can share this with you through the internet is because I'm borrowing the missionaries' computer. |

Hawaii has been part of the united states. soo if your a US resident you don't need a passport to go to Hawaii, a driver's license or identification card would be good. But if your not from the US, you will need a passport. |

My husband, daughter and I flew from las vegas to hawaii and you dont have to have a passport unless you are leaving the country. By the way get comfertable it's a long flight! good luck |

A passport is needed as a form of proof of citizenship and identification when traveling into and out of a foreign country. As Hawaii is the 50th State of the United States a passport is not required at all, unless you are not a US Citizen or a Legal Resident. |

You will need your licence with your picture on it,
And be sure your 3 hours early so you ave plenty of time to get everything handled, I had my honeymoon in Maui and we got to the airport just a little late because we had to return the rental car and we got bumped because they over booked the flight, so we had to stay overnight in the airport till the next day to catch our flight home, some people had been waiting for days to get another flight home so take note, and they have these breakfasts that show you all the things to do on the island and they sell you the tickets right there, you can save alot doing that, if your in Maui, do the bicycle ride from the top of the Volcano, 38 miles down hill no peddling its awsome, P.S. dont do the one with the continental breakfast its a rip off. |
