Oakland County is the 4th wealthiest county in the U.S. and the 2 wealthiest cities in that county are Birmingham and Bloomfield Hills. It has more to do with fact than name. I used to live there, a million dollars will buy you one of the cheap homes. |

When I was young, yes. Now, I'm just not so "impressed" by stuff like that anymore. It's just more expensive to live there is all. That's how I see things these days. |

Yeah. Anything "Hills" seems to. "Bloomfield" gives the idea of new growth. |

Bloomfield Hills used to be a big deal, but it isn't anymore, especially with Michigan's economy in the toilet. It's suffering from businesses closing and homes going into foreclosure just like every other city in metro Detroit. Having a nice address doesn't impress people here anymore because we all know the truth: Everyone's cutting back, and the people who seem to have the most money are the ones who are hurting the most. |
