To answer your question we don't call them ******* here in USA. They are called Meatballs, you can get them in pork, beef, or mixture of each, they also come in turkey.

Okay, mate... in the USA, the word "******" or "fag" is used as a derogatory slur against a gay person. What you call "*******" would be called "meatballs" here and are mostly made from ground beef, not pork. Also, never ask anyone for a "fag"... just ask for a "cigarette" or a "smoke," instead. Avoid those two "f-words" or you could wind up in a mess of trouble here in the States. (Check it out... Yahoo automatically edits out the word!)

Your right about saying faggotts. It's derogatory slang for gay men. What is the food made of? I thought faggotts were sticks in England. Ask for it by the ingredients and people are generally nice around here. We actually have police that come and take care of things if needed here. My sister married a Brit and they are going to move here. It's cheaper and safer. Plan on shopping. Every thing is really cheap. Take care,

if you ask for ******* in the deep south you will not only end up getting shot like you fear but it would be by both homophobic rednecks AND gay/lesbian rights activists upset over the use of that word.
