Yes, it is the best country in the world. I think that is evidenced by the millions of immigrants going to America (or, wanting to come). Plus, it is quite safe.

JUMBO shrimp
Of course. There are no more dangers here than anywhere else.

Mr. Bojangles
Yes I like it, and for the most part, yes I feel safe here.

Circuitz
love it, and feel safe - ofcourse it aint perfect but its one heck of a great place to be in

ong jon
safety is our middle name.... in fact lately its been our 1st name..... it used to be "freedom"...but now its safety.....

shrimpy
i wouldn't know never been. the truth and simple fact of life is that nowhere is safe if you think about it

reichman2007
No i don't like it...love the country...dislike SOME of the people

Yes and yes

Princess Buttercup
Love the country, am concerned about some of the people.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no for personal safety. Are my ideals and what I believe in safe? Not at all.

Angel_Anton
no and hell no

i feel extremely safe, well safer than America.

Just wait till they bomb iran, china and north korea and impose an national id card system, and bring in the army draft.

America is a police state.

hahaha, people will say, will you be laughing in 5 years time. who knows?

As a Canadian I used to make fun of Americans. And vice versa of course. It was all in good fun.
Now, however, it's not funny. Invading countries based on outright lies, bombing schools with children hiding in them, massacreing families for no good reason...
It is for these and many more reasons that the world is becoming more and more suspicious of the USA and it's intentions. You have no credibility any longer (thanks to your administration) and what sympathy the world had for you after 9/11 is long gone. It has been replaced with a sense of "well they had it coming to them".
