There is nothing wrong with Ohio, but you shouldn't go badmouthing other states. We're not better than them.

Apparently, Ohio has some idiots too.
No, I don't agree with you.
You are a moron. |

North Carolinians may not be as smart as the Ohio people, but we sure are good-looking! :) |

Immature much? Have you even been to any other states? How old are you, like 9? |
|

Sir think alot, @ your service.

It's always correct to say your opinion is your opinion, but in this case your opinion doesn't matter. Your question can be answered through factual information through research. The following web site will show you some statists, and one thing it shows is that OHIO is actually 34th on the "smartest state" list, with New York at the 16th place and West Virginia at only the 37th place, imagine that only 3 places under Ohio. Also noting that Virginia is coming in at the 6th "smartest state". Facts are facts, work it out.... |

Well, I don't know where you live in Ohio but I don't see smart people, great quality of life or beauty. Take a stroll wherever it is that you live in the downtown area, here in Dayton its sad...nothing but empty office buildings, homeless and crime. WHAT BEAUTY HUH? And why hate on New York or Michigan or the VIrginias? What the hell did they do to you? There far nicer than Ohio. |

I live in Ohio as well and even though I am a big Buckeyes fan i have to disagree with you, I think are crime rates have gotten much higher and even though I live in a rather small town things have gotten worse there too we have had Many Many unsolved homicides lately and its scary and people every where are different we have smart people and and our equal share of dummies we have beautiful nice towns and horrible scary ones just like everyone else sorry that's just how I feel about it! |

I like Ohio but some places aren't all that great there. And some places in Michigan might be better. I don't know if you've ever been everywhere in the United States, but I feel I can safely say that you can't go around trash talkin' other places. |

Sure, if you want to be overtaxed and overpay for housing.
Have you ever been anywhere else? I used to live in Ohio. Lived there for 24 years and the only reason I would ever go back is because my family is still there.
And there are plenty of idiots there, too.
I am currently in Alabama, used to live in Texas and have been to about 38 states. There are good and bad about them all. |

How on earth could you expect someone from another state to agree with you? I've lived in Californina most of my life and I have no right to say wether or not people from another state are smarter or happier....it's stupid! ! !
There have been times however that I've thought, Ohio?, is that even a place?
If you want to get nasty, California rules! ! ! ! ! ! |

Well...I grew up in OH & now live in the beautiful Allegany Mountains of New York. And I've had the pleasure of traveling through the Eastern States. I think you need to get out more! |

It's good that you are proud of your state, but the truth of the matter is that in a recent study,it was shown that the residents and workers in the Silicone Valley of California have the highest rate of college graduates, including more Ph d's than anywhere else in the country. |

Ohio can't be the best state... they didn't actually become a State legally until the 1950s when they found out they screwed it up the first time... congress tried to "fix" it with an ex-post facto law... but ex-post facto laws are specifically prohibited by the constitution... so constitutionally they STILL may not be a State. |

You live in Ohio and you say this? I honestly dont see how youve come to these conclusions...ive lived in Cleveland all my life and as far as quality goes theres very little. Smart people? Have you driven down the highways lately, been to a bank? Trust me people here are not any smarter then anywhere else maybe they just seem that way because they have to be more tolerant of ignorance.
Imnot really trying to bad mouth Ohioans or anything its just Ive seen way too much here (in Ohio) to agree. |

I have traveled extensively in all 50 states....have you? Ohio is OK...it just seems rather nondescript and boring to me. Nothing even identifies with it. For example....Maine, lobsters....South Dakota, Mt. Rushmore....Georgia, peaches. Ohio........?? It definitely is not a tourist destiniation and to be quite honest with you, the large cities seem burned out and quite a bit of urban decay....it is the "rust belt" after all.
Before you make generalized statements like yours, you had better have been to all 50. There is good and bad everywhere....but Ohio just seems so nondescript to me.
My favorites: Vermont...beautiful, Georgia..."Hotlanta" and nice people, California...so diverse and good attitudes, Arizona....just its natural beauty. Like I said, its hard to say whats best...good and bad everywhere...but I would have to say the east, south, and west are my favorite. The midwest (and Ohio..sorry) put me to sleep. |

I disagree, no state is better than any other state, there are pros and cons for living in each state and everyone has the right to their own opinion. I have lived in Pennsylvania and I miss the 4 seasons, I live in TEXAS now, and we don't get a chance to see 4 seasons! |

I grew up in and lived in Ohio for over 25 years and completely disagree with you. My hometown was full of redneck morons. Cincinnati is backwards and Cleveland is rundown. I'm glad to be out of there. |

what are you, eight? who cares. glad you like where you live, but that doesnt mean that every other place is automatically bad |

You are clearly a moron.
Who cares what state is "better" than the others? All the states are the same-- it's what you make out of where you live, not your geographic location.
And, you can't stereotype an entire nation. Grow up! |

NO WAY!!!!!!!!! I lived in Ohio from birth until I was 24, then my husband and our family moved to Tennessee. I am SO glad that we did. Ohio is a very uppity state, everyone thinks they are better than everyone else, you proved that point. As far as smarts, that depends on the person, there are MANY stupid people in Ohio. School systems are not that good.
We love Tennessee and will NEVER move back to Ohio.
Have you ever wondered why Kentucky hasn't just fallen into Tennessee? Because Ohio sucks so much!!!!!! |

No. I'm sorry but that's just state racist. And everyone has their own opinion. Each state contains something special that might inspire one individual. For instance, California might be better for those that like the heat and can handle stress of traffic. So I think favorite states depends on ones personality and how they handle good and bad things that life brings us. |

Cool. It would be nice if all you perfect state of Ohio people would keep your vehicles off of Myrtle Beach highways. You might have the most perfect state etc, but y'all could use driving lessons. Kisses from the south! |

Nope. I don't agree. Texas is the best, and has "it" All Over any other state! Sorry, I hate to burst your bubble.
We have the friendliest people. We have the most diverse landscape choices, and the best climate of all 50 states. Plus, our state constitution has more built-in freedoms than any other state. |
