Yes, I hate it!! People do it all the time. When I told my boyfriend how frustrated I got when people would stare at me he began to notice that everywhere we went both men and women stared! At times I ignore it but sometimes it freaks me out because I don't know why they are staring, what are they thinking about, or sometimes people are so weird that they can do that evil eye!
It's just disturbing, it's one thing to look and continue on your merry way but when you stare, it is so weird.
Sometimes I'm like "Do I have a booger in my nose?" haha |

I do get upset when I go into a store and either the owner or their employees stare at me. I just leave when that happens. |

I don't know. I don't pay people any attention if I am not engaged in a conversation with them, or they are not with me in public. So, if someone was staring at me, I probably have no idea. I'd imagine I'd probably just smile at them or something. Why get upset? Stares aren't laced with plutonium...or are THEY?? Dun dun dun dun!! |

I try to avoid people all costs when im in close proximaty with them like sat opposite people on the bus.
I dont like to create eye contact at all because there is a danger of people getting the impression that they could enter your personal space.
Its risky to create eye contact with a stranger who stares at you without your consent.

Not at all, but they are gonna get messed with.....
This weirdo was starring at me one time in downtown Cincinnati... I put my finger up to my ear as if there was an ear piece and started talking into my watch. I acted as if I was watching him and trying not to let him know it. I followed him around for about an hour before he lost me in a full sprint thru Tower Place Mall.
No harm done

It depends. If it's a guy I act like I don't even notice him cause he's gonna think I'm interested in him and I'm probably not. If it's an elderly person I don't mind cause I can see how they feel wishing they were young again. If it's anybody else I stare back at then until they stop staring at me. |

I think it's funny when someone stares at me. I'll wink at them, or lick my lips, or act like I'm looking away and then "catch" them staring at me. Life's too short to get upset over trivial things. |

It depends on the type of stare. Sometimes someone is daydreaming and doesn't realize they are staring. Other times they are mean mugging you and yeah I would say excuse me can I help you? Or if I am in a bad mood WTF r u looking at??? Sometimes they look you up and down like your a piece of meat if makes me feel uncomfortable. Or they stare at you with a sexual intent I don't like that either.
I would rather have eye contact and a nice smile then a stare. |
