i did till i got shouted at by a scottish woman over the phone (i work in a call centre) she said some really nasty things about me and my family jus cos i was the poor sod who answered the fone. so now the accent makes me cringe |

yes its not too bad, i went to a place right at the top of Scotland called banff,a few years back and was talking to a old chap. i felt so rude because i really couldn't understand a word he was saying,and kept saying pardon all the time? i don't know if it was just him,or if the accent is a lot stronger farther north? |

Of course! I love accents, especially the scottish, british and irish accents. I have the hardest time understanding scottish, but it's no less fantastic! |

Well I have one so yes. Actually there are lots of Scottish accents. Somebody in Aberdeen speaks totally differently to somebody in Ayr, who speaks totally different to somebody in Fife etc etc.
I think the number of accents in these tiny islands (the UK) are fascinating and I think everyone should be proud of their accent. It's what makes us who we are. |

It depends. There's not just one you know!
I like the Edinburgh accent which is "rounded" and a little "softer" than the Glasgow accent - although Glasgow girls can sound lovely and "rich".
Highland accent is very welcoming.
Borders I find is quite short and sharp but still nice in its own way.

Yes, I like it very much...more than Irish and most English accents. I think Scottish is my sisters favorite accent. Its a sexy accent.
Lots of american girls [me] like/love accents.ha.
I like some Australian accents too.
I can understand Ewan McGregor when he talks..maybe hes from Edinburgh then. |
