I have been to Wisconsin and I liked it. My uncle lives there with his family and my dad has always wanted to get a job there so we could move there.

Hope I helped!

My family moved to Oshkosh, WI while I was a sophomore in college - I'm from NYC. Although I don't think it's the best place in the world, there are a few highlights that I've been to:

Madison - The capital city is actually very cool. It's a very liberal college town on an isthmus. It's got a lot of great restaurants on the main street (which is a pedestrian mall). There's lots of culture, outdoor sports, and a very youthful feel to the city - and since it's surrounded by 2 lakes, it's very scenic.

Milwaukee - It's a typical midwestern city, but in the summer there's some fun stuff. They have something called summerfest where there's concerts right on Lake Michigan. Also, I remember the main art musuem there being really cool.

Door County - A very popular place for Chicagoians to buy cottages and 2nd homes. It has a lot of hand-made crafts, cute towns, and great nature, outdoorsy stuff.

Wisconsin Dells - WI's own theme park area. Tons of rides, water parks, amuseument parks, malls, etc. Many of them are indoor so you can do it year-round.

Lastly, the cheese is AWESOME! You can find locally made cheese at almost any tourist shop, which line the main areas, and rest stops along the highway.

Never been there but they have damn good cheese!

jå¢qüê
It's ok.
Good things? Cheese. The best cheese curds (or turds, if you prefer) around (as far as I've tasted). The Wisconsin Dells. I went to Noah's Ark every summer the three years we lived in Wisconsin and it was great as a kid. The land. It's kinda pretty with all the hills.
Bad things? I remember the road trips to visit family and the abrupt intrusion of outside smells. The cows stink (or their manure, whatever). The convenience of metropolitan areas was lost to the places I lived. Sometimes we had to drive forever to buy what we needed. I like the five minute drive I have now.

The state of Wisconsin is full of hills and bluffs to the west. The east is more flat and forrests. The northern is very wooded. The south is mainly flat. Yes we do have cow and cheese but I think California is ahead of us now so get over the cheese thing! lol Places to go in Wisconsin would be anywhere up north its gourgous, full of waterfalls and lighthouses. Door county is full of little shops, wineries, beautiful state parks, and orchards. La Crosse is got lots of bluffs and hills which overlook the Mississippi.

I think Ashland would be a great place to live though it gets pounded by the lake effect snow. It is a cool small town on Lake Superior.
The drive between Hudson and Madison is BORING!!!!!!
The cheese is great. I like the Burnett County Dairy Cooperative and visit there to buy cheese when I can.
They also have great fireworks there that we can't get here in Minnesota.
And they have great frozen custard!!!!!
