You haven't needed a passport to come to Hawaii since 1959 when Hawaii became the 50th US state.

You will, however, need a government issued photo id to get on the plane to get here (but that's the same rule no matter where in the US you're going).

Tell your brother to go back and study his US history....we may be in the middle of the Pacific Ocean but we're still Americans out here!

Happy travels!

hallo,
if you are a citizen of the USA, then you don't need passport, as Hawaii belongs to the US.

If your a US citizen born in the US than no, just ID, but if you are a German Citizen (for example) then you need your passport with you!

If you are a US citizen, you do not need a passport. However, people form all other countries do need them.

R
No, but you need some sort of identification. It's the same as the rest of the United States.

if you're already a us citizen then... "do i have to call you STUPID?" no, hawaii is our 50th state where any us citizen may roam freely in. (that includes all the islands of hawaii) i'm not saying you're dumb for asking.
