no not at all. but it might be better if you did. people who know more than one language get paid more because they can deal with more customers. |

No, but knowing it will only help. I am from Arizona and I had no problem finding a job. I found more jobs in LA that require spanish. |

No, unless you are going to work in a Micky D's or some such similar place where the customers speak Spanish. |

Spanish gives you an extra $1.25 on the job...
it is not mandatory. is Phoenix a Spanish territory???? |

Probally, it will be our main language before long! How sad! |

Probably not, but it would depend on the type of job. |

It depends on what field. In some customer service fields or if you're managing people in low-wage or high-labor jobs it is definitely preferred or required, but for office and retail jobs its usually not required. |

Not at all. What I've found working in Phoenix is that you will usually get a higher wage if you speak fluent Spanish (in addition to English of course). At the last two places I worked it was a dollar more an hour. |

Mee!

of course not, but is an advantage to know another language not only in Phoenix, there are better jobs in Washington DC where u can use u spanish and english language .. the Organization of American States, the International Monetary Found, the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the State Department , if you want to live in NY the United Nations. Depend of the field of your work, if you work like a white collar there is a lot of advantages for know Spanish. If you don't like USA you can go to Europe Geneva at the United Nations. If you don't like these kind of jobs well try in the airlines companies like Continental and American Airlines as flight attendant or maybe in the land. Many Americans don't speak another language because they believed that u don't need it, but now the transnationals companies required that u speak Spanish or Chinese or Russian plus your English. The global future is not in USA all the huge factories and the huge companies are overseas. |

Wouldn't hurt to be prepared because if you can translate, you may get promoted or have a higher raise because you are worth more to that business. |
