Yes I do see him running. But what I can't understand is why all the people that live there keep re-electing him! He has stolen tax payer dollars to buy "pimped out" cars and suv's among other things and he has been caught! He is a thug! Maybe thats why he keeps getting re-elected because everyone that lives there things hes just like them... |

Yes he will run, and yes he will get reelected. He is Coleman A. Young reincarnated, and the people of Detroit worship him. |

Yes Kwame will run again and he will win again. I could not believe that he was reelected after his horrible first term. His second term has been three times better than his first term.
Detroit feels very comfortable with a thug in the Manoogian. Lets wait and see what his highly anticipated "Detroit Economic Stimulus Plan" looks like before we say for sure. |

I honestly didn't think a mayor could run for a third term, but in that case, i believe he will run, but as far as him getting reelected is a different prediction, considering all the mud that was slung on his rep during his term will make one think he wont make the next election, however on the other hand, ever since he was put in office as mayor, allot more has been done for the city of Detroit than what has ever been imagined to be done to improve the city, and what it really comes down to is will the people of Detroit want to continue seeing improvements happened at a slow but steady progress, and risk keeping what the public see as a crooked politician in office, or bring in a new mayor, risk major cut backs on projects to improve the city and risk having a questionable future for the city as far as improvement vs another period of stand still and more despair,. |

If Kwame is re-elected, I see him stuffed into the trunk of a car at Metro Airport's long term car park before election. |

Sure he will run. Detroit always votes in crooks. Anyone who says he won't or will lose because of all the lies, stealing etc. are foolish. This is just what makes him electable in Detroit. |

Now that the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News has printed transcripts of sexy IMs between Kwame and his Chief of Staff, Christine Beatty, I imagine that Mr. K will soon be forced to resign from office.
The crystal ball says, Kwame holds on until May, then he resigns to run for Congress in his mother's 13th Congrssional District. |

He'll definitely run for reelection. Whether he actually wins depends on the strength of his opponent(s). I disagree that he's another Coleman Young. He didn't have overwhelming victories against either former deputy mayor Freman Hendrix in 2005 (53% - 47%) or former city councilman Gil Hill in 2001 (54% - 46%).
One must also remember that, in the 2005 primary that included Kilpatrick, Hendrix, and others, Kilpatrick got only 34% of the votes, whereas Hendrix earned 45%. Kilpatrick is certainly beatable if his primary support comes from the 34% that supported him initially in 2005 and a candidate emerges that can capitalize upon the remaining 66% that didn't originally want him reelected. With the scandals surrounding him and the plethora of problems plaguing the city of Detroit, his reelection would likely come only because of his opponent's failure to effectively rally those who want the mayor replaced, snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, as they say. |

Not after his text messages have been released proving he lied under oath!! If he does decide to run again, I don't think he will be reelected. There are too many people that have lost faith/ trust in him now. |

I sure hope not. But realistically speaking, if he holds on through this latest controversy, then yes, he'll run. If that happens I could see a possible reelection. |
