After spending the last month in Florida... I realize just how much NEW YORK DOESN'T SUCK...

if for no other reason than:

Friendlier people
Better food
Better drivers
The main source of produce/jeans NOT being WALMART

ugh.
Give me some real pizza that doesn't taste like a cracker, food that doesn't taste like you dumped a gallon of honey in it, people that don't drive thirty miles an hour down a major highway and an actual BUTCHER or DELI...

New York does not suck!
New York is a unique place. There are things there that exist only there. It is also, however, restrictive. There are things elsewhere that are not available in New York.
For some New York is a home that one wouldn't want to stray far from For others, New York is a necessary burden to endure. But few people would want to do without New York

Our family FLED New York because of the high taxes. You get MUCH more for your money, and have more of your own money to spend on things YOU want, in other parts of the country.

New York used to be a place you could be proud to be from.
Now it's just the place where people let themselves be used and financially abused.

You don't realize how bad NY is until you leave it. I spent much of my pre-teen years there and was really sad to leave... until I saw how really great it was in other parts of the country. I was once a raving Yankees fan, typical NY kid. Now, I'd never go back. Neither would anyone else in my family.

I just think New York is not a great city as it once was. In the 70's and 80's it used to be a more exciting city where everyone used to live on the "edge" fast-paced, dangerous and with more character. That was the REAL New York. Not anymore today. Today it's nothing more than a dull boring tourist trap town for families with kiddies, over-commercialized by Donald Trump and corporate America at its worst. A rat-infested hell-hole full of arrogant, insecure snobs, who take a duck under tables at something less than a petty than a methane gas smell. In short, the whole town sucks completely.
