The protest is a trifle about China in Africa and the Olympic torch running through SF. It's' nothing to be afraid about, why should I be afraid? Of what? I'm waiting for the inevitable revolution that will soon break out in all of America, and if you're looking for important and fearful political stuff, that will be important and fearful. |

Dear people,
Please look at the category before responding. Thank you.
And to answer the question... I couldn't care less. I won't be anywhere near it... if someone else wants to get caught in the crossfire, more power to them. Though in all fairness, I don't think it'll be *that* bad. Some screams, a few things thrown, probably a couple people getting arrested. I doubt it'll be anywhere near an all-out riot, though. |

I don't worry about tomorrow.
Protests have been turning to violence for centuries. Just because it is happening during your time doesn't mean it is the end of the world as we know it.
It's just history repeating.
And yes, I don't mind being an onlooker. I don't know why anyone should care about Tibet when they don't care about the Chinese people, the Sudan, the Balkans, Malaysia, the Republic of Georgia or any other place where there is oppression in the world. People are only protesting Tibet now because it is "cool." It'll pass and they'll find something else to protest about. It's become a profession in America. |

I have enough lives to worry about on a daily basis being a mom of grown children and a care giver to so many pets, so I try to take everything as it comes. I hate the violence in the world, it's a shame people have to resort to it to maintain their way of life. And I don't see myself as an onlooker either, I would not be a part of the violence then I'd be part of the problem not the solution, but I get envolved in other ways, I write my letters and voice my concerns, I don't turn away. I try to do my part. |
