This is actually a good question. On the strip of course there are sidewalks but not like other cities. They don't go in a straight line, but instead force you on long detours around to the entrances of the casinos. So if you are trying to just walk down the strip as fast as you can you may be tempted to walk on the road in some sections instead of following the curve of the sidewalk thus causing the possibility of getting run over.
If you mean other parts of the city besides the strip there are sidewalks but they are sometimes also inconvienient. Often there are telephone poles or other equipment placed right in the middle of the sidewalk. Not too much of a problem to walk around, but if you are in a wheelchair you have to wheel into the road to get around them, then back up the next driveway to get back on the sidewalk. Same problem if you are on a bike. And on many roads there are no sidewalks at all (for instance Sunset which runs parallel with the airport has no sidewalk for 3/4 of a mile). |

We have sidewalks and traffic lights and paved streets, too! The sidewalks are safe to walk on unless a tourist decides to listen to the voices in his head and drive over other tourists |

the sidewalks are actually small parking lots for RVs and oldsmobiles driven by my 87 year old grandmother. there arent any sidewalks for pedestrians however, occasionally, you will find a beaten path trampled on by many years of shepherds pushing their goats and donkeys into each casino ... but no... no sidewalks... just small parking lots and dirt trails.
its a very backwards city. |

Yes it does. The worst part is though, that the getting run over on the strip is by other people walking around. There is so much amazing things to see, you can get "lost" in your sights.
They even have sidewalks in down town Vegas.....waaaay of the strip.
On the strip there are also a lot (literally) of hockers, trying to sell you everything,...especially sex trade promos. |

Heck yes they have sidewalks. Big wide ones. No reason to get run over if the drunks stay on the road! You can see a sidewalk here: http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0Je5x4gUR1G1mUB3pOjzbkF;_ylu=X3oDMTA4NDgyNWN0BHNlYwNwcm9m/SIG=129fjb6as/EXP=1176412832/**http%3A//p.vtourist.com/1277965-The_Strip-Las_Vegas.jpg |

Yes, however if you are going to visit the strip, you should by a train pass. That way you can ride and not walk. |

Don't Vegas has sidewalks. However, when walking them keep your hands in your pockets or they will be filled with porn. You can take that to the bank. |

In Las Vegas, sidewalks are what tourists stand on to marvel at multimillion-dollar dancing fountains and dueling life-sized ulevard megaresort to the next generates more contentious debates than the casinos' excessive use of water or electricity.
And soon, sidewalks on the Strip might lead Clark County into a national lawsuit.
In recent years, hotel-casino owners on the Strip have been permitted to take ownership of sidewalks in front of their properties. Consequently, some have demanded that pro-union picketers and peddlers on their sidewalks be arrested, triggering arguments about First Amendment rights.
The sidewalk debate is expected to unfold in April when the nonunion Venetian hotel-casino opens. The Southern Nevada culinary union is already planning protests targeted at Venetian owner Sheldon Adelson.
THE ANSWER IS YES |

Of course they have sidewalks. It is pleasant late in the evening to walk the strip and watch the people, some casinos have outside shows. Someone is pulling your chain. |

Las Vegas does have sidewalks and crosswalks. If you are specifically speaking about "the strip," although there are crosswalks and sidewalks, people do not care for them. Pedestrians always jaywalk and walk across even when the light is red. Although the pedestrians are wrong in doing this, cars will not run them over :P (or at least avoid doing so).
and yea...anywhere there are sidewalks, people shouldn't be run over.......................i don't know where you live, but this is just common sense o_O |

Yes, Las Vegas has sidewalks. In fact, "the strip" has rather large sidewalks for the most part. You can get around Vegas by cab or bus, as well as some trams that move amongst hotels that are owned by the same parent company. You won't get run over. Tourists rarely rent cars and I would suggest against it. You can get invaluable information from those cabbies and they aren't expensive like in New York City! Have fun in Vegas!!! |

of course las vegas has sidewalks. if you are on the strip, they actually have walkways which go over the major intersections. They have put these in over the past few years. Before this, people just walked across the streets and were getting hit all of the time. off the strip, there are plenty of sidewalks, but people drive crazy in this town so watch out. And a few months ago, some drunk went crazy and did run down several people on a sidewalk by the bally's casino.. it was a bad scene.. But i think overall it is safe.. |
