we drove about 2 hrs towards then took a plane there, which saved us about $200. Then we stayed at the Palace Hotel in North Bergen NJ. It was right across the lincoln tunnel from NYC. Whenever we went, we hopped on these little local buses and paid 2 dollars per person to get to NYC. In 20 min. or so from the time you leave the hotel you hit times square. With plane, hotel, and food for 2 people we spend about 800 for 4 days. |

There's a bus on canal street in NYC that gets you to DC for $20.00 if you're travelling to DC as you didn't state where you're travelling from or try greyhound, purchase the tickets online a week or two in advance to save even more. |

depends where you're traveling from and the reason for traveling... Work purposes: car-pool or bus into and out of the city and once you're there, take the subway and walk. Vacation purposes: fly Jet Blue into JFK and stay in a hotel mid-town... there are many NYC vacation packages for 5 days 4 nights that you can get online that aren't too pricy. Try Orbitz or Yahoo Travel. |
