EASY 10 POINTS: How long is it to receive a United States Passport?

I went to my post office and bought home an application for a United States Passport. I submitted my form in to the Post Office. I did not select expedited service, therefore I will be receiving my Passport in regular time. I did not wish to pay the extra fees.

So long long will it take for me to get the Passport to my house if I submitted it today (July 1st)? Thanks!

Yes!!! Something I know!!! Well, as things in our society have grown and gotten faster, the passport takes 10 days to get to your house! So that means around the 12th of July.

You will get it in approximately 4-6 weeks.

bitemybunz
1-3 months. enjoy.

i did it recently.

I got my passport in 3 months but depending if u made an error on the signing for a document it will take more then 3 months in the united states.

It takes 3 months for all of your information to go to a certain place like Albany new york and and your information has been processed then it goes into your mail box.

Tristan
If you pay the extra amount, which I suggest you do, it will be a month at least, but probably not much longer. If you pay the lesser amount, all I know is that it will take a while.

I got my passport in less than 5 weeks.
Even of you dont get your passporn in that
time you can ask them to give you a permit
so that you can travel, (you can use it as your
temporary Passport), I went to T.J., Mexico, no problem.

the approx 3-7 weeks.

Since it's busy season it can take the allowed six weeks. But mine only took two weeks to come back. And I didn't expedite it. So, I would say maybe three to four weeks since people may not be traveling as much due to financial situations.

Samian Quazi
Officially, it's 4-6 weeks, but it'd be quite surprising if you didn't get it in a week...they mail it from Portsmouth, NH

Erik S
the average delivery and processing time is 6 weeks.

michigan fan 223
Well the rules have changed but it takes a while about 2 almost 3 weeks. But I'm not sure if that's correct that's just a guess.

colera667
5 - 10 weeks with the delay thats going on.

Here:
http://travel.state.gov/passport/get/processing/processing_1740.html

It says less than 4 weeks but it could take up to 8 weeks.

Hope this helps!
