Aww, lucky! I wish I was part of my Christmas present was a trip to Walt Disney World. You two are going to have so much fun!

These are attractions I think you two may enjoy, and that you should not miss...

Kilimanjaro Safaris
Primeval Whirl
Finding Nemo - The Musical
Festival of the Lion King
Flights of Wonder
Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade

Disney - MGM Studios:

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (if neither of you are afraid of roller coasters - this is probably the most intense roller coaster at Walt Disney World)
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror (if either of you are into those rides that drop you straight down)
Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!
Voyage of the Little Mermaid
Muppet Vision 3-D
Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show

The Hall of Presidents
The Haunted Mansion
Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress

These are the attractions you could probably skip out on...

Disney's Animal Kingdom Park:

Disney - MGM Studios:

EPCOT:

Mission: SPACE (this ride is very intense for many people, be careful if you ride)

Cinderella's Golden Carousel
Dumbo The Flying Elephant
Peter Pan's Flight
The Magic Carpets of Aladdin
The Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh
Stitch's Great Escape!

Every single attraction at Walt Disney World is wonderful in my opinion, though. Try to do everything and anything you can!

Hope I could help! Have a great vacation!

The Walt Disney World Resort has lots of activities. At the Magic Kingdom, you can take a ride on Splash Mountain in Frontierland and Space Mountain in Tomorrowland. Mickey's PhilharMagic is a very entertaining 3D show in Fantasyland. Make sure to ride the Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square. In Mickey's Toontown Fair, you get to meet Mickey and a lot of other Disney characters. You can also dine inside Cinderella Castle with fantasy characters as well as at the Crystal Palace just off Main Street U.S.A. Be sure to stay for the SpectroMagic parade and the subsequent Wishes fireworks show.

At Epcot, Soarin', Mission: Space and Test Track are the biggest rides. At the entrance, you can "Leave a Legacy", which means you can have a small picture or message engraved on one of the numerous plaques facing Spaceship Earth. The park also has an entertaining 3D show called "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience". The Living Seas has a short dolphin show, as well as an interactive show called Turtle Talk with Crush. The Seas with Nemo and friends just opened November 2006. The World Showcase houses pavilions of several countries: Mexico, Japan, Morocco, Italy, China, Norway, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Canada as well the United States. Each pavilion has its own sit-down restaurant with authentic food. At the end of the day, the park hosts IllumiNations, a very spectacular fireworks display.

At Disney-MGM Studios, the most thrilling rides are the Rock 'n Roller Coaster and the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The park also has the Great Movie Ride, which takes you through some of the most popular movies ever made. You can also see two stunt shows: Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and the Lights, Motors, Action Extreme Stunt Show. MuppetVision 3D is a very funny 3D movie featuring many of the famous muppets. Also, keep an eye out for citizens of Hollywood roaming Hollywood and Sunset Boulevard; they'll entertain you with some very humorous skits. Hollywood and Vine, the 50s Prime Time Cafe, Hollywood Brown Derby and the Sci-Fi Dine In Theater are all the sit-down restaurants in the park. The Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights will be running every night until January 7th, so make sure you see them during your stay; the display is amazing. Be sure to catch the Fantasmic light show on Sunset Boulevard next to the Tower of Terror; the show is incredible and I recommend you see it.

The Animal Kingdom displays numerous exhibits of animals across the world at the Oasis and along the Pangani Forest Exploration Trail in Africa and the Maharajah Jungle Trek in Asia. Also, try the Kilimanjaro Safaris in Africa. The Festival of the Lion King is a wonderful show at Camp Minnie-Mickey; you can also meet some characters there. The Kali River Rapids will get you VERY wet, so come prepared. Expedition Everest is by far the most popular attraction at the park, so get a Fastpass for this whenever possible; during the ride, you'll encounter a giant, lifelike yeti. Finding Nemo: the musical is inside Dinoland, U.S.A. This area also has Dinosaur: the ride, which takes you on a bumpy ride through the end of the Cretaceous Period. The Rainforest Cafe just outside the park entrance is the only sit-down restaurant available.

You can also visit Downtown Disney, which features a plethora of shops and restaurants, including a 24-screen movie theater. The World of Disney in the Marketplace section holds just about any kind of Disney merchandise imaginable. Cirque du Soleil performs its "La Nouba" show in the West Side section of Downtown.

Fastpass dispensers are located near the entrance of the more popular attractions; reservations are recommended for all sit-down restaurants; make sure you are in good health before riding any intense thrill rides.

I hope you have fun!

MUST sees at Walt Disney World:

In Magic Kingdom: Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, Splash Mountain, Mickey's Philharmagic.

In EPCOT: Test Track, Soarin', & the Fireworks show at 9pm

In MGM: Rockin' Roller Coaster (my mom rode & she's 62 so it should be okay for your "active" grandma), Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, The stunt show, Osbourne Family Lightshow.

In Animal Kingdom: The Safari, Expedition Everest, & Dinosaur.

Outside the parks: take an evening to stroll around the Boardwalk area and the Downtown Disney area. If you can afford it, go see La Nouba by Cirque d'Soliel in Downtown Disney. Finally go to Pleasure Island one evening and catch a show at the Comedy Warehouse and spend a couple of hours in the Adventurers Club.

My highest recommendations: Soarin', Test Track, Splash Mountain, & the Adventurers Club.

Hope you and your grandmother have a great time!

Hi
This is nice decision that you are going to Orlando trip with your grandmother.Orlando is a nice place for a trip because this is my own experience and it depend open you what do you like or not.
I have a peace of advice to you before going to Orlando you should have sufficient information about your destination because if you will have sufficient information about Orlando then it is easy what ot see and not to see.I am saying to you these things because when i were going to Orlando one of my friend has told me and gave me information about a website and with the help of that i am able to know about Orlando. If you want to get more information then just click on this website.

My family and i went this past June and had a great time you would have to spend 2 or more weeks to see everything and enjoy. Take a small bag with water or can drinks they provide free ice with 2 people you can share a can drinkwith the cups of ice they give. Also we really enjoyed Epcot alot of people we talked to said they didn't enjoy it due to the walking but my kids 5 &9 had a great time. Also I would not plan on to much time at Animal Kingdom We didn't enjoy it very much except for yetti mountain. Do mgm at night lot less crowded. Have fun , It is truely an experience. Read everything you can about tips. I found a Book at my local library. also do chef Mickey Character Meal

I would recommend staying at the World, and using the transportation provided. But, I really hated the food at the hotel. The Crystal Palace Buffet at The Magic Kingdom Park was wonderful, and when everything was added up, the same price as the horrible burgers at the hotel! I would recommend eating breakfast outside of the park to save time and money (we ate at Bob Evans every day).

I think you will enjoy yourselves. I wish I had spent more time at EPCOT but there is always next time.

My wife and I went for three nights (two days in the park) last June. We did Epcot and the Magic Kingdom. I highly recommend you checking out TourGuideMike.com. It's a pay-for site, but well worth it.

In Epcot, we really enjoyed Soaring and Mission:Space (a couple of people have died on this, so you might want to make sure your grandmother is up for it). The world showcase part of Epcot is really nice too. In the Magic Kingdom, we liked Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Carribean, and one of the 3d shows.

Disney has a lot of stuff to do, and a lot of good restaurants to eat at (we ate at Marrakesh, Bistro de Paris, the Plaza Cafe, and the California Grill and enjoyed all of them). I would recommend you get in the park early, and take a break after lunch -- go pack to the hotel room, pool, etc. Then get back out for the evening. Otherwise it will make for a really long day. We also stayed on property would probably do that again for the transportation conveniences.

Enjoy your trip!

We are actually going down over New Year's with my husband's grandparents- we are in the same boat. We have seen it all before, but what do we limit it to with them? Challenging-

But I think our game plan is to head for the big stuff- obviously they are not going to be going on the more "extreme" rides so we are focusing on the fun things and the things you wouldn't see otherwise. Like Magic Kingdom's Philharmagic, maybe its a small world. (no space mountain or splash mountain for them!)

How long are you going to be down there??? That will determine a lot too.

Are you going down for the holiday time? If so, it is a great time to just take in everything! Everything is decorated so nice!!

How long are you going to be in orlando? i would definitely recommend epcot for day 1and animal kingdom for day 2. the magic kingdom is fun but really packed and more for the kids than the big kids and would be day number 3. magic kingdom is home to the "classics" like haunted mansion, pirates, and small world. skip mgm. the muppets are cute. thats about it. the movies ride is horrible. i doubt grandma would like the roller coaster or tower of terror. don't waste your money.

I'm going for Christmas too!! It depends on a few things.. how long will you be staying at Disney and which parks are you going to?

The answers above all had great recommendations. Disney is huge!! So if you are onyl going for a couple of days, do not try to see it all, because that is impossible!! (I have an annual passs and still haven't seen everything!!)

Again depending on the length of your stay, here are a few general thing I can recommend:

One of the things that I do highly recomend is that you go to MGM to see the Osbourne Family Christmas Spectacle of Dancing Lights. It is an amazing display of Christmas lights. They start putting them up in August, that is how big this display is!! Go at night of course, get yourself a cup of hot chocolate, walk around and enjoy the lights, snow (yes, snow!) and beauty!!

GET A FAST PASS!! Fast passes are only offered for the major rides and are highly suggested!! They are free too!! This will cut down your wait for the major attractions (Particularly SOARIN, Expedition Everest, Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Test Track, Rockin Roller Coaster). At any rate, those are the rides we typically get fast passes for.

If you want to have dinner at any ofte sit down restaurants, make reservations!! Call 407-WDW-DINE ro make them. Many of the restaurants fill up fast, so please make sure to get your reservations!!

Without knowing how long you will be staying, I will just give those recommendations. There are soo many things to see and do there, pick 2 of the parks you really want to see and go from there! Let us know the parks you choose!

Eat meals at the resorts instead of the parks because the experience is better. The buffets are focused on turnover and attract overeaters.Try lunch at the Columbia restaurant in Celebration.
