Good deeds

For Disney lovers, should I believe this?

I will be going to WDW in July for my first time of couse I have planned & saved for a long time, it's a big deal to me since I don't live close to Florida. But someone just told me that she has already been there for 3 times but she didn't like it at all!!!! She said she doesn't like Disneyland or Disney World that kind of stuffs it's boring. Of course I was wondering why would she go there for 3 times if she really hates it that much.... so I asked her if she entered all 4 parks but she said she's only been to Magic Kingdom and that was boring enough for her already!!! But then later on she added she was also been to Epcot but nothing to do it was very boring as well.
I feel kind of down after listened to what she said, do you think she was really telling me the true or lying about something? For your record, she couldn't even afford going to Las Vegas for we are living in Los Angeles. I'm wondering why she need to tell me all that if she was really lying about something?

Disney is a ton of fun. There is a lot of rides for kids, but there is a lot of rides that adults can enjoy as well. Plus, even the rides that are more for kids are still a lot of fun.

You have tons of great rides, great shows, fireworks, parades, great dining, shopping, etc. There is so much to do, I think most anyone can find something that they enjoy.

I know tons of adults that don't have kids and still go to Disney, myself included. I've been going to Disney (I've been to every park) since I was a kid and good several times a year, now as an adult. It is a lot of fun.

Disney may not be everyone's idea of a great time, but it is still a lot of fun. If you go with an open mind, you will have a great time. Plus, I think everyone needs to go to Disney at least once just to see it, if nothing else it is an unforgetable experience.

As for your friend, I don't really know what her point was. Maybe she has never been to Disney or maybe she has and it just wasn't her idea of fun. I agree, I don't get why she would keep going back if she didn't like it, especially if she doesn't have money. It could be that she is trying to make you think she has money. Or, what I think is the case, she is jealous that you are going to get to go and she has never been able to. So, if she can't go, she might as well try to put you down since you are going to be lucky enough to go.

I wouldn't let it get to you, if you want to go, you should definitely try it and see what happens.

As for the parks, I love them all, but Magic Kingdom and EPCOT happen to be two of my favorite parks. Downtown Disney is also great, especially if you aren't in the mood for a park that day.

Well, hopefully everyone's answers will help bring your spirits up. Good luck with your planning, enjoy the process, have fun and don't let your friend get to you.

Don't listen to her. My husband and I are 35 years old and we have been 4 times so far in our adult life and we love it. It's just us 2 and there is plenty to do it's not boring at all. We visit all 4 theme parks and stay at the All Star Movies Resort. Don't feel down about what she said she's full of crap. Maybe to her it was boring. But trust me it's far from boring.

My Disney World Trips:
March 2002
Nov 2002
May 2006
March 2007
and coming up Nov 2007

Have fun and don't worry.

wdw is a mindset of childhood. you can go and have a good time there are some things that are fun and thigs to buy cool things to see. but I am a realist and am not easily swayed by remarks of awesome! or fabulous! I just go and have a good time. it is what it is some people are fanatics about it all and I for one see alot of it as entertainment and a tourist trap. you go enjoy your time there but it is what it is. there is alot of hype involved and for the kids you cant have a better experience. thats my two cents.

Dancing Queen
dont listen to her.. everybody's different and im sure 99% of the people how visit disney love it so enjoy your trip and have TONS of FUN!!!=]

Don't listen to her! Most people who go have a blast. There is obviously something wrong with her. I have been2x and I am going again in September. have fun and don't worry about what she has to say. if you are so excited about it, you will have a good time.

I personally love Disney. My husband and kids call me a Disney freak because I know a lot about it and also help other people plan out their trips. The thing with Disney is that you are either going to like/love it or you are going to think it is rather childish and boring. Little does a lot of people know that there is a lot more that Disney offers than the wonderful parks that they have. For instance, you can rent boats at the many marinas that are onsite, there are 6 golf courses with one being a championship golf course where the PGA play each year, you can go camping, there are 2 mini golf courses to choose from, there are also 2 water parks, and a ton of shopping and nightlife. Plus there is the Wide World of Sports complex for the sports enthusiast, and for the NASCAR fans there is Richard Petty's Driving Experience where you can hop into a real NASCAR car and be driven around at the speeds that the racers drive at. So, if your friend has the mind set that Disney is just the 4 park and won't give the many other wonderful things that they have to offer, then I wouldn't listen to her and just be your own judgement. Have fun on your trip, you will not be let down.

you shouldn't believe this at all. the trip is all that you make of it. since you have never been there and don't live close to flordia make the most of it! (it is what i did when i went and i still love looking back at the photos etc that i have from the trip). go to all the parks if you can and try to find something fun to do at all of them.

Epcot with the countries is my personal favorite. There are different options for going around them but a nice fun free memory is doing the kidcot thing. Even though it is meant for kids, my friends and I did it when we were there. There is another option similar to this, which is the passports, but those cost money. The firework show in Epcot is also amazing. Take advantage of the fastpass for the more popular rides at all the parks. Also the Festival of the Lion King in Animal Kingdom is a great way to sit and get out of the heat while still experiencing the Disney Magic. Also Magic Kingdom has the best options for the rides. MGM has a different look of Disney as it is more Disney with live action movies.

So it all depends on what you want. If you want classic Disney, the Magic Kingdom is definitely the way to go. If you want to see different science and cultural attractions, Epcot is the way to go ~ it's my personal favorite park. MGM has less rides for younger kids but its not my personal favorite and I went when I was 17. Animal Kingdom is a must see as its one of a kind. if you want to go shopping definitely go to downtown disney at night, it's a ball.

Don't listen to people when they say something about a place that you have never been to and are planning on going to on vacation. Enjoy your time there!

I have been taking my family to Disney for the past 5 years, they all love it, we really enjoy Epcot, not so much for the rides but it is a bit bigger of the park so you don't feel so crowded, it is nice to see things from other cultures and eat there food!! We love orlando and all the parks, we always visit at least one Disney park even if we get Universal tickets. There is just something Disney trains in there employees to treat us as guests they are very helpful and ready to help in anyway they can, if you have the chance while your there visit at least one of the water parks................... they are both awesome.

I don't like theme parks very much, but I must say that I had the best vacation ever in Walt Disney World and I have traveled the world extensively. They know how to make their guests have a good time. I wouldn't be worried at all you will not have a relaxing time, but you will have fun. It is almost impossible to not have fun.

Customeralwaysright?
There could be all sorts of issues here. She might actually find Disney theme parks boring. Some people like vanilla, some like chocolate. She could be trying to "rain on your parade" being jealous of your plans. She could be manipulating you, trying to lay the groundwork to get you to do something else.

In any case, knowing ahead of time your interest, plans, and how hard you've worked to get there-this is certainly a "someone" as your question says and not a true friend. Ignore them and move on to having more positive people in your life. You might even meet some in Florida!

no way...i have been to disney world 7 times, and go every year. it is my most faveoritist place in the entire world. I even plan to be an imagineer (diney artist/engineer) when i am older. You will love it, don't listen to that person--they are just being negative, thats all. Disney is so amazing, the 1st time you see it you will probably never have thought that what you see is actually reality. They elaboratly decorate and theme everything and i have been to all 4 parks, the 2 water parks and downtoen disney...have a great trip, and you will definitly ♥LOVE♥ it sooo much!!
