Fun and excitement in or around Hamilton OH?

Im almost 20 and my boyfriend is 22. We both are so used to going to the mall and movies or staying home and renting.

Fun is interpreted differently by different people.I personally like Hamilton. You can play pool at Micheal's on Boymel in
Fairfield which is next door to Hamilton. You can fish the
Great Miami River where you can catch a multitude of various fish. Do not forget the Sculpture Park up on 128.
You can go to the airport and take flying lessons.Of course
there is the county fair coming up soon. If you have never
been to a drag strip Tri State Drag Strip would be blast. You can drive out to Hueston Woods for a fun day on the lake or
just a pic nic by the lake.Even a nice hike in the woods and
who knows what.So do not let anyone tell you there is nothing
to do in Hamilton. You may have to think but there is plenty to
do if you just think about it.

I have posted a few links below check them out.

Horseback riding would be something different. There's a Circle B Stables in Hamilton, Ohio.

Have Fun!!

Best thing for you guys to do would be get a Cincinnati Enquirer on Friday. They have a big "Weekend" pull-out that has all kinds of goings on for the weekend. I'm in Lindenwald, I realize there's not much to do in the immediate area. Come to Taste of Colerain in a couple weeks, ask for Uncle Jeff at the Big Art's booth, we'll fix you 2 up with the best BBQ you ever had.

Going to Union Center Blvd. and the RAVE movie theatre, there are a lot of places to eat and shop right there also.
Bridgewater Falls is a small shopping center with an old navy, target, Panera Bread, and many other places to shop and eat.

As Im sure you know, Hamilton kinda sux. There isnt a ton to do there. You can go to the Voice of America park in West Chester, its not too bad. There is Jungle Jims for a real Grocery Shopping experience on Rt. 4 in Fairfield for a real grocery shopping experience. You can go out to Pyramid Hill park. You can head to downtown Cincy and catch the Bengals (in a few months) or the Reds, hit the Cincy Zoo, go to Great Wolf, The Beach, or Kings Island in Mason, etc. Really to do much in the area, you'll really need to head a bit outside of Hamil-tucky.

Go play miniature golf. I'll recommend two: the Putt-Putt on Route 4 (Dixie Highway) in Hamilton, and the Joe Nuxhall Golf Center in Joyce Park in Lindenwald.

Around here this time of year there is always a festival going on weekends. Check them out!

July 27-28: St Ann's in Lindenwald (Pleasant Avenue)
August 3-5: St John in West Chester (Cincinnati-Dayton Road)
August 10-12: Sacred Heart in Fairfield (Nilles Road)

Come to the food booth at Sacred Heart's festival and I'll sell you a burger. I'll be the one who's had just a little too much beer :)

I also agree with the earlier answer about Miami University. If you want things to do - sporting events, concerts, lectures, exhibits, parties - Oxford's campus is the place to go. It's a little slow in the summertime, but come late August it will be buzzing once again.

Mr. Captain Crunch Gorilla Biscuits
go to the hamilton county park. u can fish, paddle boat, rent bikes ride horses and run trails.

Cin Reaper
Go to Richards Pizza for their world famous Steak Sandwich.
Lots of bands in Hamilton, but you prolly have to come to Cincinnati to see them.
Welcome to the area, kids!!
Stay out of the 4th Ward.

Don't miss the county fair.

Take a few minutes to roll down into Cincinnati. There's lots to do there. You can take it even further and go to Newport, Ky...Newport on the Levee, food, fun, games, movies, river setting, etc... Maybe do the same stuff, but in a different place,,,like going to the Dayton Mall, (about 30min. away) for dinner and a movie. Try Coney Island on the southeast side of Cincinnati (near the river), amusement rides and lots of water fun. Try Kings Island, pricey but fun. Hope this helps,, HAVE FUN

-Jersey-
There is also the King's Island amusement park for a fun day out. It's not too terribly far from Hamilton. It's near Mason.
