1. America at it's best. New England is America's most historic reigion of the country and it's very safe (except Boston I suppose) and the people are very friendly and welcoming.
2. Villages and cities. There are small towns and villages all over the place with beautiful oak trees, and hanging baskes along the roads, and row houses with American flags throughout. But if you need a little city life, there is Boston, Providence, Hartford, Philadelphia, New Haven and I suppose, as a slight exception, although pushing it a little ... Montreal.
3. Seasons. New England is beautiful in any season. Summer, Spring, Fall, Winter! Yes even winter. In spring, flowers can be seen everywere and everything is so green! In summer the temp. is just perfect, and rarely goes over 90. In fall the trees are bright shades of red and orange. In winter you will find, well ... snow! |

I'm from Rhode Island and I love it there. New England (Especially R.I.) has great chowder. Also New England has great beaches. Other great seafood like clams, muscles, lobster etc. The weather is great to in the winter there is snow (which a lot of people from south have not seen) and in the summer it is about low 80s to high 90s. |

The MAINE reason to visit New England is the beauty of the ocean seen as you drive down the RHODE to your ISLAND getaway. |

I visited a few years ago and loved every minute. There are a number of small breweries that make excellent beers. The beaches are amazing although the sea is cold (you do get numb to it after a few minutes though). Whale watching is absolutely incredible and something I won't forget. Boston is a great city to visit with loads to do and see. The food is very, very good (not just the lobster, but everywhere I ate was brilliant) and the people were friendly.
I know this is more than three, but you can choose the ones you like best! |
