This is a hard one. I would say that it is safe but I would not be happy for my 17 year old to be walking around there or anywhere else alone. This is a dangerous world we live in.
Have'ent you got a friend that can come with you. I would not let it worry you to much i am sure you will meet up with others of your age in your hotel. Just be careful and try not to be out much at night. In orlando you are not allowed to drink till you are 21 and you need to carry ID at all times.
I hope you have a nice holiday there. Is a lovely place,. But please be careful. |

A lot of the time yes. As always be careful around and after sunset. And get local advice as to neighbourhoods to avoid.
I cannot think of many places where a lone 17yo girl will not attract attention amongst the local boys. |

i would say not,if you walk down the wrong neighbourhood you can walk straight into all sorts of trouble.Stick to the tourist places if your unsure. |

I would say no. You have limited access to certain things since your still a minor. I suggest you find family or friends you can trust, who can go with you to Orlando. I'm sure your smart enough to get around and find your way, but what if something happens, and you need help? Your too young to rent a car or a room at hotel. Also if you want to go out and party, its best to travel in groups, especially if your a female! |

I'd NEVER travel alone and I'm 38, I don't think its safe for a 17 year old. Go with friends. |

That depends where you want to walk around! Orlando is safe but like anywhere else it has its bad spots. Just pay attention to what is around you and ask your hotel about the places you want to go they well be able to help you. |

I'm 22 and I have travelled to Florida twice in the past 6 months by myself to see my bf. I would say yes... that its safe but I knew what I was doing.
U would have more fun if you went with other people! |

I wouldn't recommend it-I don't think anywhere is totally safe these days.Orlando is a nice place, with many nice people-but there are undesirables there as there are in any resort. And I think a 17yr old girl would be seen as easy prey,We have a 17yr old Daughter and under no circumstances would we let her go by herself.Have you made travel arrangements yet, because when we made ours we couldn't find a hotel where our 17yr old Daughter would be allowed her own hotel room (most operated an over 18 policy if you are unaccompanied). |
