It's been cold in the Bay Area lately I would pack short sleved shirts but also sweaters or pullovers or something like that. Maybe even be prepared for rain. |

Always bring something warm. We dress in layers. Bring a warm sweater and then a jacket (with hood is nice in case it's cold or raining). If you have one, put a knit beanie in your suitcase just in case it is cold. Bring tennis shoes if you are planning to do a lot of walking. I always feel sorry for visitors who are underdressed and spending a day in SF: usually cold at night as soon as sun disappears, even though the daytime temp might have been tolerable short sleeve weather.
T shirt and jeans if you're not doing anything fancy -- just looking around and those are easy to throw into the washing machine & drier, doesn't require ironing. |

Daytime temperatures are in the high fifties and low sixties, night time temperatures down to the 40s. There is rain forecast over much of the next week with temperatures increasing slightly as we head in to spring.
For me that means I need a water proof jacket in the car to go with the light jacket I usually carry. In comparison to most of the US it really isn't very cold and even when it does rain it generally doesn't rain for very long.
I cannot believe the number of stupid answers on here, most people have nothing useful to say and love to prove that to everyone. |

Be sure to bring a jacket. Foggy in the mornings and cold at night. |

If you're male: wear jeans cut just below the crotch with an xs tshirt
If you're female: get a buzz cut and wear leather. |

at this time of the year, i would say sweaters, jackets, jeans, mittens, hats, pretty much anything that will keep you warm. Bay Area is cold at this time of the year, but NOT like New York o.k., that place is much colder than the Bay Area. HAVE FUN! |

if you're coming now, i recommend bringing a raincoat and an umbrella because it's been raining and supposed to rain until like wednesday or something. in this area it's key to have lots of layers, so wear a t-shirt or loose long sleeve underneath, a sweater, and then like a coat or something on top. the weather is changing all day, so that's why we wear layers. i recommend jeans, too. too cold for shorts right now. |

The clothes you have in your closet and dresser, why would you take anything else? |

Its not what you should take, but rather what you should take-off. Many people in SF walk around nude, day and night. Its such an odd city. Watch wear you step too. |
