Goint to Disney World for the first time.?

I am going to Walt Disney World for the first time. I bought a one day ticket with the park hopper option on it. What exactly does the ticket cover besides entrance to the park. Is it like Cedar Point where you get to ride the rides free? Or do you have to pay an additional price to ride the rides? Also are you allowed to carry a small back pack or bag with you for cameras and sunscreen and small stuff like that? Thank you.
Additional Details
Are the shows (3-D and regular) in each park free as well?

When your purchase a ticket to Disney it is "General Admission"

What that means is that all attractions, shows, parades, and entertainment presented during normal operation hours are included with that ticket.

So you can ride all of the rides, see all of the 3-D shows, enjoy the parades, and just have fun all day.

The Park Hopping option gives you the ability to enter more than one disney park the day that you use your ticket

Since there are 4 theme parks at Walt Disney World you will have access to all 4 theme parks the day that you use your ticket.

I do suggest that you familiarize yourself with FASTPASS and how to use it properly that way you get the most out of your day!

Have fun!

Once your inside disney world, the rides are free you can go on them as many times as you want. they have these ticket machine places called fast passes and you get one by putting your ticket into it, this will give u a card that has information on what time you can ride the line in the fast pass lane which means you don't have to wait with the rest of the crowd dont forget to get your ticket after you get the fast pass from the machine, try going on rides also while people are4e going to lunch, the wait is much less. You can bring up to backpacks at the park but make sure u have no scissors or any sharp stuff in it , they'll check . you can bring beverages(non-alcholic). Bring money pretty much everything except the ticket and going on rides will cost you! you may not be able to bring bags on all rides but there are lockers for u to store them in. You may want to upgrade ur ticket to do more parks, you wont have enough time w/ a one day
have a lot of fun!!! The shows are also free..

all of the rides are free no matter what pass you have. Yes you can carry a bag with you, there are some things they don't allow in the park, so check there website about that. Also some advise would be to plan out everything you want to during your day, they have a ton of stuff to do there

havefun trying to get EVERYTHING in in one day. haha. I've been there about 12 times and have FINALLY finished everything. You should go online and get park maps...the circle what you want to get on. If you don't mind missing parades and such, you can get onto many of the popular rides during this time...there's a stampede afterwards, so try to head to the entrance of the park right before, then you can use your park hopper to jump to another park. EPCOT is the only one where this doesn't work because they don't have a parade. Go to their website and see what extra magic hours are working (only if you're staying in a hotel on Disney property). Go to these and ride the popular rides. Try to take advantage of the hopper...they cost so much....but at least it's worth it.

spgirl820
u dont have 2 pay per ride....u just have ur pass and u get on anything...they have lots of 3-d attrations and the shows r great! bring a small bookbag filled with snacks to save u money b/c their snacks are super expensive!

Yes, you don't have to pay to go on additional rides. You can take things everywhere in the park, all the rides have compartments to put your backpack or bag in while you ride.

Have a great trip!

Rides are included with park admission. You are allowed to carry a small backpack for camera, sunscreen, etc. but they do check it (at each park). There are also lockers you can rent. Go online and make a list prioritizing what you want to see. One day isn't enough for all four parks. It does take some time to travel between parks. I hope you have a great time. Disney is great!

The ticket that you bought lets you go to any of the 4 theme parks around WDW. Other than the ticket, the rides are free. You don't have to pay a penny to ride any of the rides. Also, use fastpass. This is a service that disney offers for free that lets you get in a seperate line on some rides and then get on the ride faster. All you need is your park ticket. Yes, you are allowed to bring a small bag. You will have to let the gaurds check through your bag as you enter the park. This is just for saftey reasons. Hope this answers all of your questions!

Have a great trip!

Once you pay for the tix--you enter the park and have use of all the rides--you have a hopper so you can go to two parks in one day. You are allowed a backpack--you will need to go through security for checking.~~~

dr_nigel_c
You ticket will allow you to ride all the attractions and see all the shows -- you don't have to pay for each attraction (you used to, but that was a looong time ago).

You do have to pay to park ($11).

You can bring in pretty much anything you want into the park (in a fanny pack or even a backpack) -- all bags will be inspected when you enter (so don't bring too much).

A park hopper ticket admits you into one or all parks in a single day. This is open to all rides and shows inside the park. You can carry a back pack, most everyone carries some time of bag.

briar_hope
You pay once for the ticket and can ride all of the attractions in that paticular park. You can bring bags with you, though keep it small, because WDW requires a lot of walking. Keep in mind that you bag will be searched upon entrance. Have fun! WDW is the best!

Kayla S
Yeah. Its Just like Cedar Point.... but without all the garden stuff. You dont have to pay to ride rides... AND you can have a small bag, but if you ride any rides it has to be SECURELY fastened to you...=]

Ms.Hockey!
It includes your entrance and all the rides and shows. Yes you can carry a bag with your items in it, it will be checked by security before you enter.

It covers everything, really, except food/drinks/gifts/etc. You don't have to pay anything to ride the rides or see any shows going on in the park. As far as I know, you're allowed to carry a small bag for those items. They do a bag check, but most places do that anyway.

Have lots of fun! :D

Once you pay for the ticket you are able to ride all the rides you want tillt he park closes =). Only thing is the wait...ive been to disney world and uniersal studios..great places..way better then six flags and such. You are able to carry all that stuff...just maybe not on the rides..but you are able to store them in like a locker outside the ride.

SkeeBee02
o you can get all of the rides for free as many times as you want its the best lol um you have to pay for food duh and you can carry a back pack they will check it before you enter the park and you can carry whatever in it have fun the best place ever

beanie_spike
Disney world is mostly like other amusement parks. You pay to get in, not to ride the rides, you can carry a book bag around, but it will probably checked by security at the front gate. The ticket will cover most everything in the park, rides, shows, etc.

now some real quick suggestions, try to go to every park. Magic Kingdom is mostly rides. This is the best park if you have kids.

EPCOT is very cool if you don't have kids, because you get to experience things you would probable never get to experience again. The World Showcase area of the park is great to just stoll around in, however kids get tired quick. Also ride the Test Track ride, it is really fun.

Disney's Hollywood Studios is mostly shows and for thrill seekers. I really enjoyed Who wants to be a millionaire (if it is still there) I did not go on Hollywood tower of terror and Rockin Roller Coaster but ive heard it is good.

And the Animal Kingdom park is really mostly a (as some would say) pimped out zoo. :) It is really cool and should not be missed.

Now it has been around three years since i have been, so things might have changed, but these are things I have enjoyed when i went there. I hope you enjoy your trip to Walt Disney World and be safe.

thealliepooh
Rides are free.
Bags are aloud BUT not on all rides.
Lockers will be provided :)

Have an awesome time :)

Magic Kingdom is the main park (More Kid Rides Though)
Animal Kingdom is less rides but almost like a big zoo
Epcot is my personal favorite. They just re-did there main ride too :) there you can travel many different country's can eat so many different things
MGM is more of an electronics park, more future like.

Have a great time :)

Yes you can bring a small backpack for things needed during your stay at Disney World. I am 13 and i went in January and it was so fun!!!! i really dont remember if you have to pay for the rides when you get into the park but my best suggestion is to keep money with you at all times just in case! You will have a great time!! :)

okay so: at disney all the rides are free. of course food and merchandise isnt free (and is over priced like all theme parks). the park hopper entrance to all four disney parks: mgm, magic kingdom, epcot, and animal kingdom. you cant enter any disney water parks other parks. you are allowed to carry any size bag to hold you things but they arefchecked in a baggage check before entering the park. if you like alot of things to see i recommend going to epcot. animal kingdom is very zoo-ish with zoo-ish kinds of rides and shows. magic kingdom has a little bit of everything. mgm is very similar to universal and hollywoodish. rides to be sure to ride: at epcot ride test track, and mission space. at magic kingdom ride space mountain, splash mountain, and thunder mountain. at mgm ride tower of terror and rockin roller coaster. and at animal kingdom ride mount everest. those are just the best ones to me, there are also more great rides to ride. hope this helps!
