Yes. I have been to the capitol of every state I have ever lived in from Santa Fe, New Mexico to Austin, Texas to Raleigh, North Carolina, to Honolulu, Hawaii, to Sacramento, California, and to Carson City, NV. I've even had some real fun (if you get my drift) in the capitol rotunda in Austin.

For me that would be Albany (New York).

Outside of the downtown capital area and near the colleges, Albany is pretty drab and boring.

J-ville boy
I'm from Jacksonville and the capital is Talahassee. I've been there three times and it is b-o-r-i-n-g.

kiya
I live in Alabama, but no I've never been to the capital and don't want to. This place sucks

I live in Georgia and have been to Atlanta hundreds of times. I've even been in the capital building itself several times - once when I was 14, as a page for the House of Representatives! There is also a really cool museum upstairs there.

For me that would currently be Tallahassee, it's approx a 6 hour ride from me, not worth the trip, and it's no Garden Spot.

My favorite is probably Austin, TX, but second on the list would be Olympia, WA.

Actually my favorite "Capital" cities would be those in many European Countries.

My sister and I took the kids for a weekend in the capital. We live in Ohio and went to the German village in Columbus and had a great meal. We toured the capital and shopped in some large malls. We finished up with a tour of the botanical gardens and their butterfly release program. It was a nice weekend getaway but I probably wouldn't stay for much longer.
