No, is doesn't usually snow in the valley, unless you live right near the mountains. Sometimes it rains in the winter because of the snow in the Mountains. When i go out for school at around 6:30 or so, its maybe in the 40's or 50's. During the afternoon when i get out at 1:25 its about in the 60's close to 70's. At night its pretty cold, like in the morning, 40's, 50's, if your lucky 60's but its not likely. So you should probably bring your bulky coat just in case, but if you dont want to thats on you, just make sure you bring a warm jacket because your going to be walking a lot. Also, bring gloves and a hat. Not the big puffy snow gloves, just cotton cloves would be fine. |

No, it doesn't usually snow in Vegas in the winter. I've been on vacation in Vegas many times during the second week of January, and I've always had warm, sunny weather. By warm, I mean tempertures ranging from 65-75 degrees in the daytime. I've even been able to lay by the pool on the warmer days. I think it's the best time to travel to Las Vegas. The weather is great, there are alot of bargians, and it's less crowded at that time. All you need is a light sweater or jacket for the early mornings or evenings. You won't need any jacket or sweater in the daytime. Pack some shorts in case it gets warm enough. Hope that helps. |

The highs will probably be in the mid to upper 50's and the lows in the 30s.

Our 10-day forecast is showing highs as low as 45 and lows in the upper 20s. With the possibility of snow 3 days next week. Don't be fooled by the hype or people that have visited when it's warm in January, it can and does get cold here.
It will almost certainly not snow, but dress warm, like you're back out east. Don't be surprised if it gets into the 20s at night when you're here. |

cold, yes it will be cold especially if there is a wind, gosh it will chill ya. Some days are colder than others so bring a light sweater, a heavy sweater and a jacket and wear accordingly. I has been known to snow in vegas before, wouldn't rule it out. Plus the cold weather came late this year, we are above normal so i am guessing the worst is yet to come. |

My mom lives there, so I can tell ya. That's also my Bday! :)
You only want a heavy coat if you plan on going from casino to casino (walking the strip). Normally you can only go to 2, maybe 3 casino's a night. I'm not sure what your plan is...but if you are drinking...no coat is needed because most bars have some kind of coat check.
Dress super sexy if your bar hopping! Everyone else does and you're inside most of the time. Maybe some Knee Highs or sexy dress. Skin is a must!
If you plan on walking the strip...do small heals or flats...knee high boots and jeans...sweater and jacket. It's a long boring walk! I would recommend just driving the strip instead of walking it, but you must stop to see the water show at the Bellagio. |

I live here and I can tell you that it gets pretty cool here. This week alone it will be low 30's and they are calling for snow Monday. A sweater under a jacket would be fine for the most part since the coolest temps are around 4 in the morning. Once the sun comes up you will feel the difference. Stay in the sun and you will be fine. January is about the coldest month here. We have about six weeks of winter from mid December through the end of January. It can hang on into Feb. for a few weeks at night but during the day the sun makes a great difference. A coat would be over doing it because once you walk into a casino it will be toasty warm. There are no coat checks so you will have to carry a bulky coat around if you wear one. Easier to dress in layers with a jacket and sweater. Don't bother bringing a bathing suite. |

The coldest it'll probably get is 25 degrees. And it rarely ever snows. The last time it snowed here was in 2004.
BUT IT'S SNOWING NOW! WHOO! |

Snow is a rarity in Vegas, a big rarity! But if the winds blow it will be cold, not anywheres near as cold as NY though. Our January weatehr can be really sunny and nice during the day in 40's but when the sun goes down in the Mohave Desert it drops fast and can get as low as freezing. Since you will bring a winter coat you are covered but I would bring a nice button up sweater for Vegas. Otherwise except for dressing for dinner (not usually required), club or show (not required) jeans and top works.
I live here an wear a winter coat maybe a handfull of times during the winter.

The lows will be about 40 degrees and highs about 60 degree. It gets cold at night. A sweater and light jacket will do.

Yes, there can be snow. It will probably be in the 50s, but it could get down to the 30s depending. It's really hard to predict the weather. |
