ahhh, good ol' Syracuse, a fine upstate NY city close to Lake Ontario.
it is indeed pronounced "SAR-uh-kyuse", and NOT "SEER-uh-kyuse", by the natives.
however one thinks it ought to be pronounced, the "right" way to pronounce it is the way the natives say it... |

Where are you from? Not trying to be rude, but if you live in the U.S., how could you have not heard of it? A little partial to it because that's where I LIVE!
Just slowly sound it out. Sare-a-cuse. The reason i said why haven't you heard of it is because it is well-known for its Basketball team, and sadly, it's losing Football team. These are college teams that play for Syracuse University. Also, it's well-known for its weather. They call it Salt City. Hope this was a little more pleasing for some of you. |
