its not as hot in may as it is in july or august. Temps range from mid to high 80s. Pack a few pants for night time and make sure to always have a thin jacket just in case. |

Its not impossible for it to get close to 100 that time of year, but unlikely.
Spring in NYC is full of huge fluctuations in weather. You should expect weather in the 70s in may, but it could be anywhere from 50-90 and it wouldnt be that strange. |

Just pack shorts. The average high is 70 for new york in may ( weather channel). Pack a pair of pants just in case because average low is about 54. But shorts will be fine. Have fun :) |

In May it can be in the middle 70s (F) during the day but can still get chilly at night. But, the weather is still kind of changeable then. It can be in the 40s or the 90s. I suggest checking www.weather.com the week before your trip for the forecast and go from there.
I'd also pack some pants/long sleeves for the evenings when it can feel kind of chilly. |

In May it usually doesn't get that bad. In fact, April and May are the most pleasant months in NYC. |

bring shorts or capris, it'll most likely be in the 70's at the beginning and 80's at the end. |

The weather in New York City is unpredictable in the month of May. Temperature here ranges from the 60s to the 70s. My advice, pack some spring-like clothes, this includes a light jacket, and check the latest weather information at the link below.
Good luck

Bring shorts. Be prepared for some awful humidity. May is a weird month. Early May is nice, usually. Bring a light sweater. Late May it starts to get hot and humid. |

If you're on a class trip in May, it's not very hot but it's more like comfortable weather. It can be warm but not cold or hot. It's warm enough to not have to wear your jacket but I wouldn't think about wearing shorts. What happens if it rains or something? |

I was there in July once, it was about 92 degrees F, just walking down the street. And boy it was hot! |

In May it could be as warm as 85 degrees. It could also be as cold as 60. It really varies. Assume it will be in the 70's. Maybe bring shorts, just in case!
I hope you have a great trip! |

80-90 farenheight, but in summer it gets up to 100.
In May, you're gonna want shorts, but bring a jacket because it will get colder at night. |

Umm... Lizzy I think that it's not that different than Maine, so bring a couple shorts and some pants, a jacket, and some sweatshirts and tees to go under it. You can always take layers off. |

As a former New Yorker, I can tell you that the hottest it gets is in the summer (July, August) when it's in the 80s - NEVER 120. |
