It's Manhattan that is awesome. You have SoHo, the Upper East Side, the Upper West Side, the Village, etc. It truly is a 24/7 city - and always something to do. |

I think it is great! It depends on what matters to you though in life. Personally, I like to be around a diverse group of people, exposed to many different cultures and cultural activities, art, music, theater, and creative ideas and a highly educated and driven crowd. Privacy and space and peace and quiet matter little to me.
I feel a real sense of community and neighborhood here in NYC, but I can see how some others might be intimidated or feel isolated.
