if ur in the uk?if ur under the age of 21 then when u r 21 ur record gets deleted but after that age probably life,so im looking forward till im 21 hopefully il have better luck in work and more options!

Depending on the crime, it could be dissolved for a small misdemeanor, or felony could last forever. If you killed someone, i don't think that record will be dissolved too quickly.

10 years it is classed as spent but if you ever work in the care system or some jobs you need a full enhanced disclosure which shows every single thing you do it is classed as spent after this time but working with children or the likes every thing shows and it is up to the organisation to decide if they wish to employ you of criminals act 1976 covers this but believe me people are so terrified to use ex criminals it doesn't count i have 50 ish convictions work for 2 local councils and agencies wont touch me so to speak mate for life but don't give up some are willing to give ex crims a chance and they are not all the same Dave p.s no i doesnt get deleted my first crime was when i was eleven and it is still on there mate dont be fooled

in the UK it's forever, once you've been done for it, it's there for life and you have to disclose it to employers if they ask.

can be a shame if you did something stupid (like graffiti) in your teens but have to pay for it for the rest of your life by not getting certain jobs because of it.

i do know that in USA you can also affect your partners employment with your criminal record, there are some jobs they won't be able to do like work for the FBI.

7 years for a minor offence and then its classed as spent - if a more serious offence then never (like GBH, attempted murder, manslaughter or murder ) x

Forever. Once you have a record, you simply HAVE a record. Some juvenile records are "sealed" one a person reaches 18 or 21. The problem with those is that any search in the criminal records database indicates that you have a sealed record. So anyone looking you up will know there's something there, they may just have to jump through hoops to find out WHAT.

depends, minor crimes can be expunged after a few years if you have good behavior and finish your sentance and dont get into more trouble. felonies are generally on you for life

forever if youre over 18, but you can pay money to get it cleared if you dont have any felonies, or at least in a lot of situations, ive had a couple friends that have done this
