I lived in the area 30 years ago, and used to travel into the city often. Now that I'm in Texas I get up there once a year or so. I enjoy my visits, but it certainly isn't the same (I've become very Texanized). It is always worth the time to go. |

I've visited twice since my BF moved there a year or so ago. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. But, after talking to some of the locals, the excitement that I feel visiting is NOT the same as living there. It's a whole different beast, filled with overpriced housing, rude/unfriendly strangers and dirty streets. But, I still love the vibe - the people, the sites, the shopping, and ESPECIALLY the fast paced energy! |
