It depends on how much it weighs and the size.
If it weighs more than 1.0oz, it will cost you more than one 42 cents or stamps totalling 42 cents.
Also, USPS has thickness, height and lenght restrictions which your letter need to meet.
Please read below for more info and remember to afix your return address so it may be sent back to you if undelivered or for insufficient postage.

Anywhere in the U.S. first class letter is one first class stamp. It doesn't matter the distance. Across the street or across the country is the same price. |

it has nothing to do with distance, just the weight of a package. If it's a simple letter, you'd only need one stamp to send it from Maine to California if you wanted to. |

1, unless it's very heavy, you can put two on it to be safe if you want though. |

Depends on weight. Regular letter....one. |

Just one but make sure that you have the correct address on it. |

One, along as the weight is literally what is equal to a one-two page letter. |

usually just one
the correct one
and if it is a regular letter and not to many pages
just one
but if you think it is heavier than normal
bring it to your nearest post office and they will weight it and tell you exactly how much the stamp will cost..
but if you do not want to go tot eh post office and your still thinking it is heavier, put two on to be safe
good luck

Just 1 @ .42 cents. |

No matter what the distance is, it still only takes one 42 cent stamp if its within the US.
One stamp covers generally six pages of regular paper. So if you plan on writing a super long letter...over 6 pages or if you include heavier things like pictures- go for 2, but one should do it. |

Assuming you're sending from the State of Georgia, not the country Georgia, it will cost 42c per ounce.
If you're sending less than four sheets of paper, it will cost 42c, or one Forever Stamp, or one First Class Stamp. |

it doesn't matter where it is going to and coming from, as long as it is within the weight limit then only one stamp is needed :) |

That all depends on how much it weighs.
Anything up to an ounce (regular sized envelope - 42 cents
Everything in a bigger envelope or up to 1.5 ounces is about 59 cents.
You can check the postage on usps.com or just take it to your local post office so that they can apply the correct postage amount for you according to the weight. |

you only need one to mail a LETTER anywhere in the country. PACKAGES depend on weight and how fast you want it to get there. |

Depends on the weight of your letter. One-three pages 1 stamp. |

Just the regular 42 cents, unless it is bulky, but if it's about 5 pages long you should be fine. And even if it's not the mail person will just stick it in your box and tell you how much more you need. |

it depends on the weight of the letter. usually if it's under an ounce then it only takes one stamp. |

First-class domestic postage in the United States is 42 cents. Doesn't matter between which U.S. cities you're sending the letter. |

One should do it. How great is America? The only place in the world where you can send a letter several states away, for just a penny a day! |

One Stamp of 42 cent if the weight is less a one oz. |
