How much money do I need to take to Las Vegas with me?

you can expect to spend about $50 per day on food, for regular food...up to $100 if you want to be fancy...definitely take advantage of the Player's Club at your hotel/casino...its free to enroll [usually a sign up right by the check in desk], and you get points for everything you do, which you can use for drink/meal/club discounts...also, most of them come with a coupon book, which is very useful. Coupons are your friend in Vegas, and everyone uses them, so no need to be embarrased or anything. Judging from your avatar, you're a guy, so you can expect to pay between $30 and $60 to get into the club, depending on where you want to go. Drinks at the club can be up to $15 a piece, but its cheap and easy to drink before you go. Most Vegas shows are around $50-60, with the really good ones [Cirque shows, etc] being up to $150 per ticket. You also want to figure in the price of transportation...the bus that rides the strip is about $2 a trip, and the monorail thing is $6 a trip i think.

If you want to get a better idea of how much it is to get into clubs, shows, etc, go to www.vegas.com Its the official city website, and its great for travel planning. You can get ahold of club VIP passes for pretty cheap on there, and look at the show prices, so it should help.

I usually take about $500 for a weekend trip, so that I have some extra if needed...I'm not a big gambler either, but I usually end up spending $20 to $40 a night...its hard to resist a game or two once you've been drinking and you're walking through the casino lol. a good trick is to sit up at the bar in the casino and play video poker...its fairly cheap, and they serve you right away...also, keep in mind that people don't usually tip for the free drinks at the casino, so tipping a couple bucks here or there will definitely get you stronger drinks.

Side Note: I am not including lodging here, as I assume you have already paid for, or set aside the money for, your hotel. If you haven't, a favorite of mine is the Imperial Palace. Its not a great hotel, but its not the worst either, and its dead center on the strip, so you're by everything. You're really only in your hotel room to sleep when you're in Vegas anyways. Rooms range from $60 - $100 a night usually.

As much as you are willing to spend, and not a penny more!

PattyAnn
Don't take anymore than you can afford to spend.

baiseurdemere
How much are you willing to part with?

peaches6
$100 dollars for each day you're there.

Jon
At least 1000 dollars, everything is extremely expensive there. Plan on spending about 100-200 a day.

mama_lisa24
That depends on a lot of factors. How long will you be there? Are you staying at a hotel? I was there with my husband a month ago for 3 days, and after eating, attractions, shopping, room service, etc., we spent about $2000, easily. And that was being cheap, with only gambling about twelve dollars, seriously. There is so much to do and see, that even though we followed our itinerary as closely as possible, there are still many things you will encounter that you didn't plan on doing/buying. If you are looking for an inexpensive vacation, Las Vegas is not a good idea, unless you can afford to part with a few grand $$$$. Although, I do recommend that you go ahead and do it because it was the most awesome place we've ever been, and now we're thinking of moving there. Good luck :)

Firstm charge what you can so you use cash for gambling, tipping, drinking. The average is $200 a day.

Toni
Depends on how long you're staying.
I would bring $100 for each day you're there. You might not spend the entire amount in one day, and the excess could go towards- shows, restaurants, gambling, etc.
I went for 6 days & had about $800 to spend. Watch out though, it gets dangerous.... go there with a plan & keep busy. Its very easy to just get caught up in the gambling.

You can eat for cheap at certain buffets [you can usually find cheaper than your own hotel's buffet....depending on where you are staying....if you do a little research], you can grab a quick breakfast at Starbucks, which is located in most hotels, plan to walk more if you don't have a car or want to save some $$ & avoid the tram, use your own hotel's pool, sign up for each casino's own gambling cards....they usually give out free gifts & sometimes some free shows when you do.

about 1000 to 1500 shows run you about 150meals about 15 or so

Cody
Take enough to pay for lodging but dont take so much that ur going to blow it on shows. Take about $200 to use for shows with and the rest should be for lodging, food, etc. Shows are about $100 if you go to this place down by the Riviera and Circus Circus that sells them cheap (i have been there)

take about 500 u$ a day for going out, eating, as well as dinner show and maybe shopping, don't gamble too much it is a magnetism overthere as Casino are open wide day and night everywhere.

Gambling is a big bad habit for some people. If your going to Vegas just for a show or two and maybe a room and food and drinks bring enough money for that.Just enough you can spend and afford. And also leave the rest of the money home or in a bank where you can't touch it to gamble so when you do come back home you will not be broke. By the way how are you getting there by car or plane you did not say. You will also did money for traveling. Well Good luck in Vegas and have a safe trip.

Chickie
I'd say about $400. Maybe a little less. Depending on how much you eat, the hotel/air fare cost, taxi, gas, souvenirs, how much the shows are, etc.

annmariee,yoo(:
It dosen't matter how much you take, most likley you'll end up spending more, due to the ATM machines every 5 steps you take.

Mike G
$200 a day

theMisses
that eric guy has no idea what she's saying
i live in las vegas and the cost of living here is sooo much cheaper then anywhere else bcuz we have no state taxes!!

but anyway i would say not counting your hotel money
like 300-400 if your only staying the weekend

It depends on what you would like to do. If you want to hit the nightclubs, you can rely on guest lists or take a nightclub tour. I work with a company that provides nightclub tours for 59 dollars (men are 69 dollars). It includes being transported from club to club via a party limo bus, free drinks on the bus, no cover charges to the clubs, no waiting in line and a VIP host. The tour consists of 4 clubs total. For example, Saturday you would arrive at a ultra lounge and then be transported to 3 other nightclubs throughout the night (ie: PURE, LAX, STUDIO 54, etc.). This is probably the most inexpensive way to have a good time without waiting in line, paying steep cover charges for each club and paying for drinks throughout the night.

I would say about 1000 dollars because you might not be a gambler but you might get caught up with the machines lol. If you plan on seeing shows it could be 20 to 30 dollars. You need to eat and get a hotel. Then on top of that you might want to get souviners. So HAVE FUN

thousands! I am a millioner so...!
