 Do Buffets include drinks?
Mostly interested in the breakfast ones, but do buffets generally include coffee/soft drinks?...

How much money is enough? $250 enough?

Going to Vegas with the girls- only for two and a half days- we are not going to any shows, no fancy dinners, no trinkets, no fancy clubs and I don't drink much. My girls plan to drink but I'm the designated babysitter- basically we plan on walking up and down the strip to see all the free stuff to scout for a honeymoon trip for one of the girls? Can I live within my budget?
(I should point out that both the airfare and hotel are already paid for)
Additional Details
I guess I should add the gambling is out- none of us have an interest- I know we sound boring- but like I said- they plan on partying while I volunteered to be the babysitter-I owe them as they usually baby sit me!

Hi I'm with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

You're coming to Las Vegas, and you are NOT going to gamble, drink, shop, go to a club or restaurant, or see a show? . There is a little known law on the books in Clark County.

rule 6969 - anyone and everyone(over the age of 18 or 21 depending upon the sin) must take part in at least one decadent or immoral act(your choice) while in Clark County.

You ladies make the Amish and an order of Buddhist monks look like the wild bunch, I'm afraid you're going to have to stay home.

This has only happened one other time, in 1957 we had to run Debbie Reynolds out of town. When she started chasing men, drinking and bought a casino we let her back in of course.

That should be plenty seeing as how it doesnt sound like you plan on doing anything

$250 will be fine, provided you don't sit down at a table. In that case, bring $1,000 cash or a couple ATM cards 'cause you are gonna need 'em. Two dinners per person will set you back $50-150. This assumes you are very careful about the wine, drinks, etc. Sadly, Vegas is not the bargain it once was.

Does MetroDish look like my long-lost brother?

Mr. Smoothie, aka Mr. SmartAss
take some extra travllers checques..in case you want to buy something nice for yourself....but $250 would be plenty if just for meals and incidentals...

zzzzzz6
It doesn't sound like you plan on spending any money, so I don't see why not.

you should go to some shows and go out to eat and have a few drinks..... it makes the trip alot more fun. Why go to vegas if your not going to do anything... whats the fun in that...... ?

A few hints to make it cheaper for you. If you eat later in the morning, you can have brunch at a buffet and have both breakfast and lunch at the same time. They have some inexpensive all you can eats. There are some travel brochures you can pick up at the airport that have a list of the free events all over the city, and there are plenty. A lot of the hotels have free shows you can see. Bellagio's fountains, Treasure Island's pirate ship are must sees. You can buy a bottle of wine and keep that in the room too, have a couple drinks there before you go out. Bring some snacks with you from home and have in the room too. I have a little travel cooler I take with me and bring sandwiches and chips. Idea for a wedding present for your friend: have all the bridesmaids/friends chip in and get them a gift certificate for one of the Grand Canyon trips. Worth every penny.

$250 is more than enough. It doesn't sound like you are going to do much though. Why don't you visit Hoover Dam and Death Valley while you are there?

eric l
With all the stuff listed that you do not do, you will have no problem with $250.

Luna Winter
take an extra $20+, HAVE FUN!

calibeauty2die4
I think you will be fine if you do decide to drink they have $1 beers and margaritas at casino royale go to wild wild west for lunch and breakfast they have 1.99 breakfast also the orleans has a cheap graveyard breakfast.

exorcism1121
It might be enough, but to be safe, you should bring an extra $50 just in case. Anything could happen, and you might need extra money on hand. You might even see something you fancy or decide that maybe you do want a dinner. Always prepare for the future.
