How much money should I take to Las Vegas? |
I am going to Las Vegas for 4 nights. I don't need money for airfare or hotel or transportation. We plan on eating at buffets and places like that. No where real fancy. I want to gamble a little, maybe see a show or two and just sight see pretty much. How much money should I bring?? |

Well each show will set you back $100 average each. If you do three buffets a day on the strip that could cost you $45 each a day. Gambling can get away from you so unless you have great will power be very very careful. Don't forget to tip just about everyone. You set your own destiny so only you can decide how much you should take. Most people figure $1000 and spread it out over the trip. |

give your self a budget of $500 a day, for four days I would take $2500 an extra $500 just in case you go over budget |

Bring as much money as you feel comfortable spending. Only you know what that is...I don't. As for the gambling. The rule is that you should think of gambling as entertainment, and money that you will NOT get back, like going to see a show. Don't bring more that you are willing to lose. Buffets are not too expensive, but shows can get pricey. A ball-park estimate might be around $ 500. |

My wife and I take $200 per day each this covers food, shopping, drinks and a little gambling |

If you gamble at all, bring more. |

That $200.00 per day is not bad. You can take more, or less. But $200.00 per day will feed you, transport you and let you gamble some.
If you want to leave Las Vegas with a small fortune, go there with a big one. |

Not counting room, meals and flight I allow $300 per day for gaming. I use comps for rooms, meals and air miles. |

Bring $500 to cover your basics of eating, entertainment, spas.
Bring another bankroll for gambling ($250). If you win gambling, then spend it on a show or a nice dinner. |

Budget two hundred a day for sure not counting the room or the flight
or transport into las vegas as part of the two hundred. thats two hundred minimum for each person food drinks and entertainment
and all the left over goes for gambling and souveniers.
Two hundred is very conservative. cause the costs for the good food plces have gone way up the rooms are cheaper by a bit so you can gamble more in the slots on the floor games.
Besides having to bus or cab or rent a cart to get up and down the seven miles from the fremont experience all the way to the luxor
those seven miles can cost anywares from ten bucks to seventy five
according to the type of travel you catch. The high side being a limo from ceasars to fremont street during dinner time from 6:00 until nine.
pm. its truly a ten minute drive with no traffic and all the lights green as you pass under them but that rare during commute hours dinner hours and breakfast brunch hours. the lights are never with a cab
and never let the guy take the freeway for your bound to be faster on the strip during commute hours entry and leaving the city.
Thats the rub the freeway sounds faster but can be 100 dollar cab ride for the unlearned. the cabs and limos know this fact because they
will try to ride out the longest fares on the fewest rides provided
which makes for a few more tip dollars coming at the end of the shift |

As far as gambling goes, decide on how much you can afford to lose before you go. If you want to win, definitely check out my site. As far as shows go, know that the best shows like O, Cirque de Solei, etc are going to run you $100 and up...although there are cheaper shows around. Check on craigslist Las Vegas because locals get good deals for shows and they list them there. There really is alot of good stuff to do and see here in Vegas without spending much money. So, if you really want to, you can have fun on the cheap.

About as much money as you're willing to throw out the car window. |
