You may find taht you dont pay quater slots as you will not be able to have your son with you there I am sorry to say. My wife and I budget $200 each per day in Vegas this covers all meals (we generally have either and early lunch or late Breakfast) and dinner and tend to eat at hotel coffee shops, Planet hollywood, Hard rock ect and one real top meal a week. it covers shows maybe 1 every 3 nights and shopping, my wifes addiction to Starbucks and mine to smoothies we save all year to have blast and we do that.
However yuo have breakfast taken care of all ready and you can eat at your hotel for supermarket prices in the evening so all you really need money for is a few attractions (you can sepnd two days on the free ones ;-) coffee, smoothies and whatever other vices you have ;-) I would suggest that you budget a minimum of $150 for all of you per day, you coudl have a good time for less but this will allow you tyo have blast.
Remember there are great natuarl places to visit near vegas that cost very little http://vegasuncovered.wordpress.com/2008/06/04/day-trips-from-las-vegas-including-the-grand-canyon-and-death-valley/
Hope you have a lovely time

Charge what you can and set a daily bugdet. The average is $200 a day for those slots and food.
The biggest question is what you are going to do with your son??? Kids cannot be in the gaming areas! The Strip casinos have little for tiny ones. Check out www.lasvegasnow.com but family things

for gifts for friends back home bring about 200 and depending on your taste of food i would say about 500(tips also). And for souvenirs for ur family another 200. and other spending you might run into bring another 200. so a Little more then 1000. Or if you plan on spending more bring 1500. Good luck and have fun. |

Only bring as much as you can afford to lose. figure how much your bills are for that time period and get those paid first, then figure how much you have left, and take half that. Whatever you do, don't bring an ATM card, credit card or a checkbook because (a) those can get stolen and (b) the temptation is way too great. |

Las Vegas is NOT the best place to bring little child with you because it is so much air polution from cigarette smoke. Both my mom and I were sick after went to Las Vegas because of the air qualities inside the casinos.
Anyway, I hope you are aware of this. You need at least 1000 for 3 people in Las Vegas. Have fun! |

My husband and I have been to Vegas 3x's. I don't think we have spent more than 500-700 on a weeks trip. We do gamble but we play smart (you can play with your money A LOT longer if you go down town to Freemont St., which I highly recommend doing gambling or not!!)
We always have one expensive dinner.
We have never rented a car and never wasted too much on transportation. Monorails are free. (Traffic on the strip is HORRIBLE, and I don't know the back ways).
Look for coupon books. They have great deals. The free bus ride to Loflin (spelling) was kinda cool. You get a free buffet when you get there and on sunday's they serve Champaign. It takes about a whole day though.
If you like prime rib please eat at Sir Galahads Prime Rib House in the Excalibur. It's absolutely FANTASTIC and the price is really good for the food and service you get. My husband and I don't like to eat prime rib any more unless we are in Vegas we are so spoiled by it!
Have a Great Time, I know you will! |

well if you put your son in the play areas at the hotels, that is about $6/hr plus over priced snacks if you want that.
Shows are high unless you do a time share then you can get free tickets to the shows...
It is hard to say on money but when we went we took about $1800. Luckily my father in law bought us dinner, lunch a lot! It was expensive. |

I would bring about $2000 besides what you are going to gamble with. Should be more than enough to pay all your bills there and in case of an emergency you have a good amount to help |
