How much spending money would you recommend taking for 2 weeks to orlando?

Travelling to Orlando from the UK for 2 weeks in Feb 08. Booked a Villa, Flights and also brought flexi tickets. How much extra money would you say you'd need to have a "comfortable" holiday? Please help! Thanks!

$3000-$4000, this is for food and everything. My daughter and I went for one week, our hotel, disney admission, and car were already paid for. We took $3500 and spent around $2500.

In order to eat out once or twice per day, and to be comfortable, I would personally like to have $50 per day minimum! $100 per day would be ideal. Yet, I'm sure you could get by on an average of $25-40 per day. You could decide to not spend anything on a day or two, also. Use the grocery store to stock up your villa with food and drink. You'll save alot!

Well basically all you have cause there is alot of expensive things you should get to remember the trip by... Food is really expensive so you should bring alot for that... I love getting one item at a store at each place in Disney World like one thing in Fantasyland one thing in Critter Country, etc. then if you visit all the other parks like animal kingdom or epcot then you should get one thing there... so you can keep the memories have fun...

I have been to Orlando with my family. :) I would say you should bring about 1,500 to 2,000 dollars with you. That way you can spend about 100 dollars a day, which seems like a good amount, because you will want to eat out and go places. Vacations can be expensive, but there is nothing worse than running out of money on vacation. Try to bring more than you expect to use. Have lots of fun!

we usually take about £1000 aweek if we have paid for all our tickets and excursions beforehand and have always found this to be plenty

Well it depends on what you're doing
If you are going to theme parks, you need more money
And you also need to remember the cost of food and souveniers and stuff

how many people are going???? comfortably you will need $1500 without going silly, obviously wuth all the outlets and entertainment that orlando has to offer you could do with doubling that. Also keep at least an extra $250 to fall back on. bearing in mind that when you buy something from the shops over there the price on the labels do NOT include sales tax, that will be added at the till i think its about 6-7% and everybody expects tips over there so allow for that. it works on a percentage of value for meals etc. you will soon get used to the way they work....really you could never take enough money as there is always something else that you want to buy and also remember your weight that you are allowed in suitcases. i always go over and have to reorganise throughout everybody elses suitcase. have a lovely holiday and hope this helps

Whatever you decide you need to bring, make sure you bring about 25% more than that. it's very easy to get caught up in the excitement of Disney, and the next thing you know, the budget has just flown out the window.

for a cool stay i recommend you from $5,000 to $10,000.

Are you taking children? As a rough guide about £1500 per person. I have been to Disney with between £800-£1000, that was o.k but no kids. It doesn't leave too much for gifts but you can get by.

Orlando.....probably about 3500 and thats to have fun. You can go to Sea world, Universal Studios, Disney World, and Wet N Wild water park. You can also go to Downtown Disney and eat at the Rain forest cafe. You should also hit up International Drive that is one of the more popular tourist spots in Orlando. Let me know if you need any other info cause I live here in Orlando.

DSatt57
You don't say what you are doing... if you're doing the Disney thing, bring lots.. at least a hundred per person. Food is high if you eat inside the park. You can buy a food package for around $50 per person.

If you are just hanging around Orlando and not doing the whole theme park thing, then it will depend on how much shopping you plan to do. If you are eating out every meal, plan to spend around $6 per breakfast and for lunch if you're lucky and around $12 at night depending on where you are eating.

Also, if you are going to Disney, I recommend purchasing Birnbaum's Guide to Walt Disney World. There is TONS of up to date info (a new book comes out every year) and they work directly with Disney. Also there are suggested itineraries to see the park with a minimal amount of stress.
I buy a new one every time I go down and it is worth it.

Have fun!

I would say at lest $1000 would do for spending on souviners nightlife and to a fancy dinner. i had bene to Orlando as well and I had a god tme at disneyworld. enjoy and have fun.

skip orlando bs. go to key west and get blasted and listen to jimmy buffet and the bands. orlanda is plastic and bs. do you really like to look at teenagers with big plastic goofy heads? do you like to pay $5 for a green hot dog? forget that bs. rent a car and just run around. even miami beach is better. disney sucks. everything that disney did was rotten ripoff. walt was a rat. mickey was a mouse. sobs both. why? well, it is a religon thing and a cultural thing. if you cannot figure that out you really are a dope.
