some hotels you have to be 18, some 21. where i used to work it was 21 unless you had a credit card then it was 18. you would need someone to put the room on a credit card for you and check in for you(with id)...and if you are traveling alone thats probably not possible! |

It depends on the hotel's policy actually but it's often either 18 or 21.... but they really don't card you as long as you look responsible. You can check with the hotel though. The question will really be how to pay for it - if it's going on a parent's credit card then you might need the card to check in. Again it really depends on the specific hotel. |

You may want your parents to make the reservations for you and tell the hotel to expect you. That way you will get no hassle |

actually, you have to be 21 in most states in america. My parents were in the business for years and I used to run the front desk. I'm sure in the Caribbean it's a little different. I was a teen cruise director and was shocked at how young the people were on these voyages alone or those who stayed along in hotels. |

Depending on the circumstances you can with a reservation from your parents. You must be 18 to 21 to rent a room at most hotels and/ or have a credit card. Have your parents set it up for you, Good luck |

You have to be 18 to stay in a hotel by yourself. You can try asking the hotel where you are staying if they will allow it if you bring a note from your parents. |

Most hotels in Boston I have found want you to be 18. Some require that you are 21. Still some others do not have age limits or will allow you to stay particularly if your parents call ahead and make reservations for you. I think there are places that would be willing to work with you, particularly if your parents provide a credit card, etc to hold the room. but you'll have to call each individual hotel to find out their policy. |

Most importantly, you need a credit card. Most places won't take you unless you're 18, and some won't unless you're 21. Have your parents make a reservation first, and then bring their credit card and you shouldn't have a problem. |

Probably best thing to do is to make a reservation, would it work to have your parents make the reservation for you while they specify that it is for you and how old you are?
Actually, I would be surprised if you have any trouble. I would think that as long as you appear old enough to be independent, you have the $, you are reasonably behaved...the hotel wouldn't have any problems. |
