How to commute from jersey to new york?

I will be in New york from oct 22nd to the 27th. My boyfriend and I are staying with his friend who lives in jersey, but my friends are also coming and they are staying in the Bronx at her dad's house. How do i get back and forth everyday, I have no car and i don't know the transportation system.

PATH trains run from Newark and Hoboken into Manhattan. NJ transit has buses than run from Jersey to Port Authority and trains from Jersey to Penn Station. Ride the subway and/or buses in the city.

from jersey to NY your going to have to use the train

and when you get to penn station use subway to get around

Where in New Jersey are you staying? Chances are, you'll be near a PATH train or a NJ Transit train that can take you into the city. Also, look for DeCamp bus lines, as they can be cheaper.

Well since I do not know where exactly your going I hope this much information helps. Take the PATH train from Jersey to 33rd Street in New York. Transfer to the D train headed toward the Bronx. If you need to, take the D to 161 Yankee Stadium and you can transfer to the 4, 5, or 6 as well.

heres a link to help you out:

You can take vans from NJ to NY, or trains. You'll just need to call ahead and get info from the train stations. Your friend in Jersey i'm sure knows where to catch the trains. Once your in NY cabs, trains and buses.

Path or other NJ train. Since you don't mention a specific starting point I have attached the link to the NJ transit site.

PATH is very easy to use and cheap.

Once in NYC take the subway
