You can either be practical or not with this issue. There are legal means to becoming wealthy but it takes a while, there are also illegal or risky means which can get you killed or jailed.

What I would suggest is each week or whenever you are paid you pay yourself first. Deposit that money directly into an account opened just for savings, every 6 months or annually as it grows remove that money and invest in Government bonds or place in a Money Market fund or CD whatever you qualify for at the time, you can even try and dabble some of it in stocks remember you want to invest long term.

Your income tax return and bonus should also be invested in the same way, if you follow this pattern and you are in your early 20's or 30's you should become a millionaire or 'rich' by your 50's or 60's if not you will have a sizable chunk in your 60's. You have to be consistent and determined to do this, another way is real estate.

If you can get the funding to purchase homes that need minor repairs to resell this can also bring in money which you will need to reinvest, owning property on a whole is an investment.

Just be careful with the get rich quick schemes it never works and you always end up losing your money, becoming rich takes a lot of work and time it usually never happens over night.
