I'm going 2 the beach for the first time ever, what all do i need 2 take?

OK, the best things to do is pack light. I mean really light. the less the better, because then you have less to worry about if you decide to go for a walk along the beach or if you go swimming. leave your wallet in the glove compartment of your car, or in your hotel room.

In a light bag/ backpack bring:
-big beach towel (for laying on)
-a bottle of water (to clean out that ocean water taste)
-sun screen

optional:
-a big hat (to shade from the sun)
-a good book

I always wore flip flops, some cloth shorts and a tank top over my bathing suit, that way you can use your shorts and tank top as a pillow or put it over your face if the sun gets too bright.

Some people bring an mp3 player... I think that is kinda silly because salt water (and salty air) is really corrosive and bad for electronics. unless you are expecting a call, I would leave your cell phone at home. or put it in a zip lock bag.

sunblock for sure, something to lay on (towel, beach blanket, beach mat, or a beach chair), and cold drinks in a cooler, plus maybe a cover up. It depends on if you are going to a beach with concessions around or if it is rather remote. If it is really hot consider a beach umbrella as well. Throw in a wide brimmed hat.

Bathing suit, sunscreen, hat, towel, beach blanket, snacks, drinks, beach umbrella to block out some wind/sand blowing around. Also an mp3 player, a good book, good friends, camera and beach toys if you're interested in building sandcastles, etc

-Flip-flop or snadels its hard to get sand out of sneakers
-of course sunblock the higher the spf the better
-an umbrella or hat to create some shade if wanted
-a lil food thats easy to transport and wont spoil to easy
-possibly a radio for some tunes

If you'll be there for awhile, an umbrella and chairs are probably a good idea.

bring a towel, sunscreen, bathing suit, regular clothes capris like a t-shirt and shorts or capris (if you're not willing to be in your bathing suit the whole time) its optional to bring an umbrella and materials to make sandcastles with. :]

if u r really going to the beach for the first time take swimming trunks to swim in.take a towel to dry yourself off with.bring sunscreen and sunburn cooling remover.bring an umbella if you wanna get away from the sun. lol
