I'm going to DisneyWorld--how many days is enough to fully experience all 6 parks without having to rush?

-I do have a Park Hopper
-I'm going around 8/17 and 8/23 (hopefully less crowds)
Additional Details
-I do have the Water Park/ Disney Quest Option

I usually go to one park per day. I don't do the water parks, so I don't spend time there. But one park per day is good. We usually go to Downtown Disney the same day that we go to Animal Kingdom, since AK usually closes the earliest.

The Park Hopper won't get you into the water parks, unless you have that option added onto your tickets.

I feel that I would never rush through the parks. I like to take my time and enjoy where I am and what I am doing. (The only time I might rush is if I have a dining reservation and have to be at a certain place for a certain time).

Some tips to save time: use fastpasses at rides when available, or try using the "single-rider line".

Enjoy you vacation!

We went the 3rd week in May this year. We usually go in November or December. The crowds were great in May. No waiting in line. You must expect to take at the least, 1 entire day for each park. (In my opinion at least.) Of course MGM takes less time than Magic Kingdom or Epcot, but one day each is the norm to spend there. Epcot, now I could have spent 2 days there, to be honest. Go! Have fun and remember to wear sunscreen! :)

If you have been to the parks you can easily do 2 parks in one day with a hopper just go to all you favorite rides first see a parade or so and then hop over to the next park. What i usually do is Animal Kingdom/Magic Kingdom Monday we rest on Tuesday maybe got o a water park MgM Studios on Wednesday Epcot on Thursday and then we rest. If you haven't been to the parks before i suggest going to Animal Kingdom first because its the biggest park and it closes at 5pm hope you have a magical trip!

1 park a day - 6 days

<3
i would say that a week at minimum. we go every year for a week and it doesn't fee like we got everything in we wanted to, so this year we stayed a little longer, and it felt a little better. i would say 2 weeks if you really wanted to get everything in, and that would be the best vacation ever!! have fun!!

Luckyboo8
I would say eight days cause one is just for traveling that's what we did it in and we didn't feel rushed we enjoyed ourselves take advantage of the hour early opening because it's only open to certain people and you really don't have to wait in any lines.

KristAY k
I went there in 2001 and we did the cruise for 3 days and then the parks for 6 or 7 and I think that it was perfect! : ]

I would suggest going to a different hotel every night just to see around. (option-very fun)

We stay 7 days and there are still a lot of stuff we dont' get to see. There is a lot to do at Disney World. I would say 2 weeks would be enough time to really take it in and not be rushed.

I would say four or five days is plenty of time. Disney has 4 major parks, the Magic Kingdom, Epcot, MGM and Animal Kingdom plus two water parks. You will need a full day for the Magic Kingdom, at least 10 hours and most of the day for Epcot and Animal Kingdom to fully enjoy it. MGM is rather small and you can do this in conjunction with another park like Animal Kingdom (start with Animal Kingdom and be sure to do the morning safari! Plus, it closes early). With the water parks, I do not think you need to do both...after all, they are water parks and you will not have to worry about seeing shows, shopping, exploring etc. Most water parks in the Orlando area are about the same...slides and a wave pool. You may want to double check your park hopper passes. Normally water parks are NOT included in these passes unless you got a special one. Im not sure what other plans you have, but another alternative is to spend 4 or 5 hours each day of your vacation at these parks. This way you do not have to rush, you can leave before the afternoon storms come and if you miss something, you can come back for an hour to see it.

Be sure to bring your sun block when you visit us, this week is the absolute hottest time of the year.

The guy who said he had to wait 6 or 7 hours for rides...that is crazy. I have been to these parks well over 50 times throughout the year and the longest i have ever seen was about 2 hours....and that is rare. 40-50 minutes is about right on an average day for big rides.

Have a great trip!

Depends on when you go and how busy the parks are. We have waited at least an hour at some rides. You will be hitting the park prior to school starting here and yes, I imagine they will be busy.
School starts the 21st. I can't imagine how many people will be there prior to the start of school. The schools north start after labor day so you will also have that croud.

Having been twice, I would have to say that each park really deserves a whole day

your gunna want to spend atleast a day at each park. so you should come for at least 7 days so that the day you get in you dont have to go right to a park or the day you leave. and going to six parks six days in a row is going to be VERY tiring so you might even want more time.

about 1 week...have funn ...get the flash pass

When we go we usually go for 8 days. Thats enough for each park and the water parks. If you want to do other things then I suggest a couple more days. This year we are going for Christmas, the week after Thanksgiving, it is a great time to go less crowds and you can see all the Christmas decorations. Have fun.

First, it's impossible to see everything in six days and truly enjoy the experience. I have been going there for over 30 years and have yet to see everything. So, what you need to do is make a list of the "must sees" and be sure to arrange your itinerary around those attractions and shows.

Since you have a multi-day pass, I would not recommend "park hopping" during the same day. You will just waste time. So, my advice is once you are in a park, stay there. Also, it is best to arrive early at the park and do the "big rides" first. Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain are right next to each other, so it's possible to ride both at least a couple of times each before the crowds get too crazy.

But the best advice I can give you is to relax and don't rush. Take in the ambience. If you don't see it all, it just leaves things for you to do on your next visit.

Mrs. Incredible
We spent 1 day at Epcot, 2 days at the main park, 1 day at Animal Kingdom, we scouted the water parks and picked our favorite and spent 1 day there ... we spend half a day at MGM ... there wasn't anything there that sparked our interest.

The rest of the time was spent going back to the main park and re-doing things we had fun with.

Have fun !!

I've went 2 times, the first time i went for 7 days and it was plenty!!! I was hearing how long it takes to do thing, but we did everything in less than a day at each park.
My last trip i went for 4 days 5 nights and that was plenty. I went to Magic Kingdom plenty of times, did all the parks, night shows, both waterparks, and DisneyQuest/downtown. Maximize your time by figuring out extra magic hours and plan your parks around that. When there are no evening hours one day, just go downtown and do Disney Quest til 12am or go clubbing. Get up early and do it all over again. My next trip is for late Oct. 5 days 6 nights and i've planned it all out, and we're going to MGM one whole day -reallyl dont need to use a whole day but we'll take it slow and eat lots of awesome food, EPCOT -one full day with morning hours -one full day is enough there. Magic Kingdom-plan multiple trips here and definitley do the Extra Hours! i'm going there 3x, and then Animal Kingdom 2x, each waterpark 1x, downtown and DIsneyQuest the day i leave, renting watercraft at the Polynesian, playing mini-golf, and eating at lots of restaurants. As long as you dont have little kids to slow you down, you dont need a ton of time, but atleast 4 full days. have fun!

The good news is that you sound prepared to have a great time and have purchased your parkhoppers and are ready to go. Normally it is recommended to focus at least 2 days per park...that way you aren't rushed and don't miss attractions and shows.

The key to your question is without having to rush. You will need at least two weeks.

wow, this is more difficult than you can imagine. I have spent a total of twenty four days, and there is so much left undone.

Disney Quest is Like Vegas, you loose all track of time. We arrived at about 10:00 and whent the kids said, hey we are hungry it was 7:45. We had missed lunch completely. so If you go there, check you watch often or set an alarm on you phone. It is a good idea to do this at each park.

Magic Kingdom: two days
Epcot: 1 day if you add the showcase 2
MGM: 2 days
Animal Kindgom 11/2
Each water park can be done in one day, but 2 is best.

At least 2 days per park minimum, so you are looking at 12 days. Just say 2 weeks to be safe.

Andrew Luettgen
Without rush? It's impossible to do it in under 2 weeks. If you want to go and do everything there, not feel rushed, get your moneys worth, and leave satisfied, it would literally take about a month, and you still wouldn't get EVERYTHING in. I went 3 years ago the day after Christmas and some ride lines were 6-7 hour waits, even with EASY-PASS.

Some tips to save time and do more:
-make reservations
-don't sleep in
-stay on a schedual
-EASY-PASS
-look on the internet before you go and see what you really want to do

If you're going to Disney, you're going to have a good time regaurdless of what you do and don't get to do.

Hope I helped!
