Go to universal studios Hollywood. They have alot of rides there and some of the coolest 3D movies. Its not just 3D but more like a real life thing. If theres water in the movie you will actually be sprayed with water. If the characters are falling down or something your chair will move up and fall down.
As for were to eat, if you can stand the long lines, go to Pinks Hot dogs. |

Oh, I don't know. I've never been to Disneyland, I want to go there. I probably would go there. My cousin wants to take me there. She is thirty-four. I am only thirteen. I've never been to Los Angeles. I wish I could go. It seems like such a great place to me. I just wish I could go. We're kind of poor. We can't go. I think my cousin might consider taking me there sometime. |

My favorite things to do there are Griffiths Observatory, Grauman's Chinese Theater (the movie stars footprints), City Walk (At Universal City Studios), Farmers Market (really great food selection and you never know who you'll see there!), and of course for shopping ya gotta go through Rodeo Drive! I don't know how uch time you'll have but these will keep you busy for a few days anyway. Have Fun! |

Go to hollywood boulevard and you can take pictures with characters like spiderman, hulk, michael myers, chuckie, etc. It was like that in the summertime when I was there. There's shops all along the boulevard where you can get souviners and malls and stuff. |

Mann's Chinese Theater
6925 Hollywood Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90028+6159
323-464-6266
This grand theater's place in film history may be lost on young kids, but they'll still get a kick out of seeing all the famous footprints in cement. You can take a tour of the interior, which opened in 1927 and was built with imported artifacts from China. Or take in a movie: The theater still operates and usually shows pretty family-friendly flicks. Kids can leave the gift shop with their own Oscar.
Rodeo Drive
Rodeo Drive
Beverly Hills , CA 90212
Start where Rodeo Drive meets Wilshire Boulevard, then work your way up perhaps the priciest shopping street in America. Prada, Gucci, Versace, Tiffany -- they're all here -- and teens especially will get a kick out of seeing the playground of the rich and famous. Will you actually see a celebrity? It's possible, but you will definitely see some fancy cars and other conspicuous displays of wealth. The people-watching is great, and if you actually want to shop, the streets that run parallel to Rodeo (Beverly and Canon) have some stores with more reasonably priced merchandise.
The Grove and The Original Farmers Market
6301 W. 3rd Street
Los Angeles, CA 90036
This is where the old meets the new(ish) in L.A. The Grove is an upscale outdoor mall with shops for kids (American Girl Place, Pottery Barn Kids, Quicksilver Youth) and moms and dads (Nordstrom, Apple). In the center is a fountain that dances to music, a source of considerable entertainment for tiny tots. Older kids like the trolley, movie theater, and musical entertainment on the weekends. The Farmers Market, a charming warren of stalls offering food, groceries and souvenirs that has been around since the '30s, is beloved by locals. The food stands range from Middle Eastern and Chinese to Italian and French to BBQ -- everyone in the family can get what he/she likes then meet back at the open-air table to eat together. You also have the best people-watching around: A diverse blend of age and ethnicity can be seen among the seniors, families, hipsters, and entertainment-industry types who meet here.
Santa Monica Surf School
Ocean Park and Barnard Way
Just south of station 26
Santa Monica, CA 90405
310-526-3346
Santa Monica Bay is a great place for kids to learn how to surf -- the waves rarely get too big and the current isn't as strong as at other Southern California beaches. If your stay is long enough, you might want to sign your child up for a 4-day camp or if your child (or you) just wants to get his feet wet (so to speak), this outfitter gives two-hour lessons all year long. They'll provide the board, wetsuit and instructors who are longtime surfers. You just need to show up on this expansive beach and get ready to dive in.
Griffith Observatory
2800 E Observatory Rd
Los Angeles, CA 90027
213-473-0800
The iconic observatory just underwent a four-year, $93 million renovation and is better than ever. The highlight for most kids (and adults) is the high-tech planetarium show, a guided tour of an eerily realistic night sky in the observatory's big dome. In the exhibit hall, kids can also decimate a planet with meteorites (on a computer that shakes on virtual impact), figure out their weight on different planets, and climb up into the dome to look through the Zeiss telescope. The site is beautiful during the day, but if you go at night you can view the sky through free-standing telescopes.
Universal Studios Hollywood
100 Universal City Plz
Universal City, CA 91608+1085
818-622-5946
It wouldn't be a trip to L.A. if your family didn't get a little taste of Hollywood magic. Every attraction at Universal Studios is related to a movie or TV show; these days the favorite with teens is "Fear Factor," where audience members are selected to try their hand at risky ventures (and to eat gross things). Kids that thrive on scary stuff will love the Revenge of the Mummy indoor rollercoaster and Backdraft, a fiery pyrotechnics show based on the movie of the same name. There are, though, some tamer attractions for younger kids, including the studio tour (Hello, King Kong!), animal actors attraction, and a cartoon-themed playground. |

@ DocJ420
Get a life, that was a dumb answer. And if "South Central" is so bad, why are you living there. That place is not as bad as the media portays it to be. And where is your evidence of Whites being raped the first five minutes...back up what you say? And if you really live in "South Central",unlike me, you'd know that they changed the name to South L.A. years ago!
*Edit* And Hollywood is so much better, lol???? |
